It depends how popular the Lib Dems / Plaid Cymru are in the area. If they’re well third then there’s probably no credible opposition to beat the Tories apart from Labour. Quite often the case with the first past the post.

I suspect it’s probably in the West and London where the Lib Dems stand a chance.

I’m avoiding the 3xxx series for a while, the main reason being I can get cracking 2XXX chips at great prices but the BIOS is absolutely a concern.

          CCL have their Kallis Ryzen 7X AMD Motherboard Bundle for £329: Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7GHz / 16GB / HyperX DDR4 / Gigabyte B450 Gaming X / 3 Years Warranty

I did some stress testing on the recent Ryzen 5 2600 build for an artist. The Wraith cooler has no issues with 100% load on all cores until the cows came home so I’m hoping it will cope with some modest overclocking of the 2700.

I can’t see why that wouldn’t work as you’ll basically be doubling the length of a given line.

Interesting about the nerve damage Ed. It’s extremely painful if I knock or crush my fingers these days, ridiculously so. My Mrs thinks I’m just being a big baby – despite knowing how I’ve coped with 24 / 7 pain from my various worn out or physically damaged joints.

The nerve sheaths being damaged would explain a lot, but I’ll live with that if it means my chances of another heart attack are lessened. The medication and life style changes are keeping all the major indicators firmly in the green.

Statins get the blame for everything.

Personally even if true I’ll put up with those sorts of side effects than not take the statin. This is exactly the same sort of fake news as the MMR jab rubbish.

I used to have one before I got my Fire TV. Not that I really need that any more with the new TV having just about everything built in.

I’ll scour the workshop and see if I can find it.

An Android TV box will cost you less than £30 on Amazon or Ebay.

                        Such as for £27:

                        Android 9.0 TV BOX, T95 MAX Smart BOX 2GB RAM 16GB ROM Allwinner H6 Quad-Core Cortex-A53 CPU Mali-T720MP2 GPU 6K 4K H.265 Resolution 100M LAN Enternet 2.4GHz WiFi USB 3.0 Video Player

HDMI to TV, connect to WiFi, download 4OD, job done.

I’ve only seen USB sharing on (usually) higher end routers, but TBH all those I’ve tried have been painfully slow. You might want to check out the £35 TonidoPlug which is an adapter for a 2.5″ or USB2 drive. I used the Tonido software on a PC back in the day and it did what it says.

As for security, a Synology or QNAP NAS enclosure is extremely secure. They run Linux with a custom GUI on top (so no Linux skills needed) with proper user accounts, encryption if you want it, etc. They are also actively supported so you get security and feature patches in a timely fashion. They can do much more than just file sharing too.

Yep, Windows needs to be kept up to date regularly.

What about using a cheap Android TV box?

I wonder how far this will spread?

Doing work for the MOD as I do, they want everything that isn’t behind lock and key encrypted. That includes devices bolted to buildings on very secure sites (you can put 2 and 2 together). Somewhat at odds with Government policy.

The Deference industry doesn’t have secret squirrel phones, if they exist they will be for James Bond Types, they use the same kit we all use on the same networks. Of course there are software management tools on top of all this, but if features are blocked at a hardware level there’s nothing they can do.

Yes it was disappointing. Any team should be able to lose 1 player to injury and not lose a game because of it. I think we just couldn’t handle their style of play no matter how much homework we did. But the scrums were awful.

Still at least we got to the winners final and we showed Wales how to beat the All Blacks on the way. I’m amazed Wales didn’t learn from our success 😉.

Not that long to the Six Nations 😀 I wonder what Ireland and Scotland will be doing to improve their lot? I just hope the French don’t wake up to how good they could be.

Nolan, if you’re physically up to it we ought to go to a match. Not Wales vs England though (I think that’s at Twickers anyway). I can only watch them from behind the sofa 😮

It’s hard to dispute any of that article. This has been one Tory mess from start to finish and all they do is blame someone else.

Edit. Looks like a split leave vote then unless farage gives up.

No 10 are denying there are issues with doing trade deals as that will seriously damage their campaign. The whole point being we can do wonderful trade deals around the world with the USA as poster boy. Wait for a Trump administration back pedal like they did with the NHS being on the table.

Corbyn sees Trumps comments as a badge of honour. I doubt it’s done any damage, indeed probably given them more ammunition. Either Boris or Trump is playing games with the truth and they are linked together.

Farage seems to be the only one who gains as Trump is backing Farage’s view. But I’m starting to think the Brexit Party is bust apart from doing some damage in Labour leave seats north of the Watford Gap.

But who knows? We can have fun speculating.

Mueller; the investigation “does not conclude that the President committed a crime”; however, “it also does not exonerate him”. The investigation intentionally took an approach that could not result in a judgment that Trump committed a crime feeling that it would be unfair to accuse Trump of a crime without charges or a trial. But Mueller found Trumps team did have links with Russia, Russia did interfere and Trumps campaign benefited.

They’ve found better stuff to impeach him on. He’s not up for withholding funds from Ukraine so that they do what America wants, everyone does that, but what he personally wants i.e. he’s abusing his position for personal gain. Well they all do that too but not so openly! He just can’t keep his mouth shut.
