Yes, there’s a difference between reading and understanding.
I doubt Yodels label says PS4 inside in plain text.
Like any other label, they can contain any information the producer pleases.
It’s called AMD 64 as it was AMD that designed the “X86” 64 bit code we use today and Intel licence it (Intel went off down the Itanium route which ended up in failure).
Not had an issue with Office yet, but 2 PCs in one office both had the network port of their shared office printer set to LPT1. That obviously stopped them printing!
Your body only has so much energy ?
Why you have to top it up regularly by eating then?
What an idiot.
Bob, you’re missing the point. Unlock codes are only £2 then it’s a sim free bare phone.
The full explanation is here https://kb.easeus.com/art.php?id=10005 but it’s a bit “Chinglish” and techie at the same time ?
If your aim is to restore your entire system then you want System Backup.
Say you have a second HDD (or even a separate partition on the system disk) for storing data or virtual drives for virtual machines, you may want to back that up at a different frequency to the entire system, so you’d choose Disk/Partition backup for that job.
I do something similar. I have 3 jobs scheduled.
- Weekly incremental System Backup preserving a rolling 8 images (so 2 months).
- Daily incremental File Backup of my libraries and desktop preserving a rolling 7 days of images (so a week).
- Daily incremental Outlook Backup preserving a rolling 31 days of images.
So say my laptop died right now, I’d be able to restore the system to where it was on Saturday at 9am and the files in my libraries up to 7 pm tonight. Any new programs / apps I’d installed since Saturday would need to be reinstalled.
Outlook is dealt with up separately as it’s used on multiple systems and is synced back (via IMAP) to the cloud based MS Exchange server. My backup is to safeguard against accidental deletion of a message or calendar entry on any of the systems.
I back up to a Synology NAS and have ToDo create the drive mappings as it needs them. That means that if any Ransomware gets on my system it can’t encrypt my backups as Windows has no permanent links to them. You don’t need an expensive NAS to achieve this, you can do the same with a router that can attach USB drives.
I don’t trust anything American as far as Govt sponsored spying goes. We don’t really have an massively popular software written here in the UK, but I’m sure there’s plenty of taps in the ISP infrastructure.
I just assume anything on my PC is accessible to someone somewhere if they’re Govt sponsored. I aim to keep the criminals out, not helped when they start using Govt written exploits.
Networks classified as secret and above are air gapped anyway. Their hard drives are removed after each use and stored in a safe.
Getting new AV signatures on is a manual affair, no automatic updates from the internet here.
Getting data into / out of a secret network is a highly regulated process. Imagine a USB (or any other) port as a door. It’s the equivalent of triple dead locked with a CCTV camera pointed at it 24/7.
People running these networks aren’t just left to their own devices, there’s plenty of guidance and rules / auditing coming from the MoD all the time. Why the Govt chose to publicly announce this decision smacks of propaganda.
Well if they want a sprog they’ll need to get on with it, biological clocks and all that.
But that is the logical answer, so of course if she is up the duff in 2019 it’ll be more proof of a conspiracy.
Richard, sorry to hear of your troubles. I hope it ends well.
I had the same problem with Scottish Energy screwing up the gas readings in the national system, but it can be resolved. Ovo (the next supplier) did it for me in 2015 but it took them a while. I switched to Bristol Energy last January and the estimates have been sensible, if the usual tipped in their favour.
Smart meters, not for me as my solar panels make the meter go backwards on extremely sunny days. Not that that happens that often, but smart meters wouldn’t add anything for me anyway on reducing my usage.
Water meters, absolutely. Ours can be remotely read from a sensor outside the house. When we first moved in this didn’t work properly and Wessex Water estimated our use sort of based on the rating system as being a new house there was no history. It was twice what the actual usage turned out to be. It was a massive fight but I managed to get a refund.
Now the kids have moved out and it’s just the two of us, usage has dropped again and the bills will be going down when Wessex (like energy suppliers) finally admit our DD is too high.
It won’t die after 30 days. I also used it on my now retired MS server and that stayed as the free version.
If I remember next time I’m in the workshop I’ll fire it up again and have a look.
I’m not a Royalist believe you me. I think the hype and hysteria on both sides is a waste of time.
But Occam’s razor applies. There are so many assumptions in the distraction theory it’s clearly nonsense. I hear that sort of thing in the Ring O Bells, but it’s usually about people called Tusk, Juncker, Merkel or Macron rather than Windsor.
Let’s all have a day off work and a piss up and get some of those Yankee Dollars in the bank. I can’t see what’s not to like.
I’m trying to remember how it worked (I paid for mine in the end). It may be it always nags you.
One thing is that you will not lose your backups.
I never had you down as a conspiracy theorist Bob. Try Occam’s razor (I got this from the Simpsons of all places).
Occam’s razor (or Ockham’s razor) is a principle from philosophy. Suppose there exist two explanations for an occurrence. In this case the simpler one is usually better. Another way of saying it is that the more assumptions you have to make, the more unlikely an explanation is. Occam’s razor applies especially in the philosophy of science, but also more generally.
What’s wrong with boy meets girl and nature takes it’s course?
And one your second point, since when has any Grandparent not turned a blind eye to things like your first point?
Your third point sounds like the sort of thing the elder generation of my Cornish family bring up, along with everyone else of their generation in the pub. Along with points 4, 5 & 6 would be the EU’s fault and proof, if it were needed, that we should get out right now and Newlyn will get it’s fish back.
I loved all the hysteria about the wedding costing the country a fortune (despite the net effect of how many tourist $ it will bring in). Now they’re paying for it all I can’t wait to see the next set of objections.
I did laugh when the news said that as St Georges “chapel” only seats 800 it would be a more intimate atmosphere than Westminster Abbey.
This my idea of a chapel (London Apprentice near St Austell).

EDIT Just seen that it’s now been converted into a holiday home and is advertised as near Mevagissey. My arse it is. It’s just up from Charlestown where they film all the sailing ship dock scenes from The Onedin Line to Poldark and Doctor Who (and where I went mackerel fishing on the harbour wall every night on holiday as a kid).
You’re probably on the US site.
Try downloading it from https://uk.easeus.com/backup-software/personal.html
It will be the same file name but it’s different.
Maybe a Ryzen then? Starts bumping the price up but it is 16GB.
