A woman I know does volunteer work at her grandkids school, had to be checked for that. She also does work for the church, checked for that. She then started helping at the local hospital, checked for that.

Now it’s not the fact that she had to be checked 3 times it’s the fact that it was 3 different checks, none of the organizations would accept the initial check, even though it was a month old. Madness.

How will the porn servers cope with the 65 trillion downloads an hour from every teenage boys bedroom?

No idea about other makes but the sat nav updates on my mum’s Captur is a easy as anything, download the software for Windows, format a flash drive, run the update, flash the update from USB on the Sat nav unit. Not too far away from a Android update in how it looks /works. Just a lot slower.

The Ka+ is apparently based on the Indian market Figo.

Engines are meant to be a bit weedy and the interior looks a bit of a mess, only a 4.2″ touchscreen as well.

Meant to be quite a fun car though and cheap. So more like the original Ka.

Love the original Ka, proper little car. It’s the spiritual successor of the Mini. The MINI was just a marketing exercise by BMW.

Make sure you get either the Zetec or Duratec-e engine though, the original 1.3 engine was ancient.

Apparently more free games, not tried it, don’t know if it works.

Apparently it’s data only, not unusual on a tablet.

You can still make data based calls/ texts though, hangouts, Facebook messenger and the like should work fine.

From looking at the rest of the tyre (when I got home) it looks to me as if it was a fault in the construction of the tyre. The section that failed was very easy to make bigger by about 1/2 an inch, then it’s impossible (for me) to tear it anymore.

The tyres do have a hard life on my fat bike, they run at low psi and get thumped and abused almost every ride, there are some clips on my instagram and YouTube, links in my sig. If the tyre was going to fail, it was only going to be where it did. I can’t really complain, I only paid about £15 for the tyre as it was a end of line clearance, of course it happened when I was hoping to save money instead of spending it, a new tyre that’s at least as good is £54.

On my way home today and heard a funny noise at the back of the bike.

                            Knackered tyre

That’s a tear in the tyre, the bead is still in place.

Had to do the last 6 or 7 miles with about 3 psi in the tyre and go slow and careful. Seemed to take all day.  :negative:

Watching the Dirt Shed Show 100th episode earlier today and they show my fat bike, at about 22 minutes in and get quite excited about it! Have to be quick to spot it though, it’s on for seconds, on top of the Garth last week.

Never thought they’d show it at all, it’s probably the cheapest bike in the bike vault by about a grand, if not more.

As for insurance, RSA Mobility have told me there is no way of taking no claims bonus from a Motorbility Car to another car if I choose to buy one meaing that if I loose this car I’ll have to start over too and I’ve not left the country ?

I read somewhere that insurers treat the Motability scheme as a long term rental for insurance purposes, hence the lack of a no claims bonus to carry over.

How true that is I don’t know.

Still got my little ZTE Firefox OS phone, might be worth a few £ in a couple of years.

The OS on a phone had real potential, if it was launched 18 months before it was. Even on low spec handsets it’s quite nice, just next to no support from 3rd parties.

                                      No surprise really.

I’m amazed anyone used it in a TV.

Just got home from a very wet and muddy bike ride. Wind is still blowing a gale, took twice as long to get back as it usually does.

Paranoia is good when things like this happen.

Don’t trust anyone that phones out of the blue.
