I’m sorry to hear that Lee.
Make sure the council knows about ANY health issues, physical, mental, anything. They have a ‘duty of care’. They have to help you. It could make the difference between ending up in shite bag hostel or a half decent ‘hotel’.
Also try getting in touch with a charity like Mind.
They have loads of experience when it comes to helping people in tough circumstances.
As for help running this place, sadly I don’t have the spare mental capacity right now.
Dwarflings over on indiegala.
If yours are anything like mine the anticipation is worse than the actual injection.
I was amazed how painless they were after the nurse led training.
Seems to be working great now.
Even managed to update my avatar.
Thanks Lee
Dave, I wish you luck with the injections. For the first time when I did mine yesterday (mine are weekly on a Thursday) it really bloody hurt. I’m putting it down to having the 2nd Covid vaccination the day before.
Cardiff and Vale health board are going to be using the Council owned ex Toys R Us shop near the ice rink.
It’s ideal as all of their shops were set up with a frustrating one way system.
Had my second jab today, so far no real ill effects. Arm is sore but nothing else so far. Pifzer one again.
This time I asked before I went into the hall if I could go out the same way I came in and the very helpful (and attractive) 30 odd year old female greeter sorted it for me. Saved me a lot of pain and exhaustion.
Got the new car today, painless apart from when the keys didn’t work.
The car valeter got them mixed up with a Fiesta. And had gone on a break and left the premises. One quick phone call and the correct ones were located.
It’s a brilliant car, I’ll have to be a bit cautious with it though as it doesn’t feel as fast as my Swift Sport was but it is when your up and moving. It’s also more planted at motor way speeds as the Swift was super light, under a ton, so would get buffeted by strong winds.
It handles very well, maybe as good as my Swift Sport, which surprised me. The app is handy but a bit sluggish at times. Not bothered with the on board WiFi as the Vodafone bundles are a con and I usually have my Mi Mix 3 5G boradband phone with me when I’m out and about so the car is using that hotspot instead. And that’s 5G, the onboard is 4G.

I have no idea where you are but I’ve finally come to the conclusion that I have to get shot of my single speed bike. Realistically I’m never going to be able to use it again.
If you are ever Cardiff way, give me a nudge and it’s yours for a small charity donation.
I had a go one one in Romford skatepark many years ago with a trusted mate.
No matter who was up front we nearly died many times. It was great fun for everyone watching though.
If your worried about fitness levels look at an ebike, maybe a gravel one that would have some off road ability.
Had mine last week and did it the same day.
No issues for me on my Chromebook.
Just had a date through for my shoulder ultrasound, just over a fortnight to go. Still nothing about my hip.
New blue badge also turned up which is handy as the old one expires on Thursday.
That’ll give you a chance to play with some of the new gadgets!! Stay safe and drive safe!!👍👍
Thanks JCD.
Had a phone call from the dealership about 15.30 this afternoon, they bagged the last UK car in the spec/colour I wanted and it’s due late Monday/ early Tuesday. About 3 hours later had an email from Motability confirming the phone call.
I’m picking up 9 am Wednesday. not ideal as I have my second vaccination at 12.30 and the vaccination centre car park is tight. Otherwise it was Friday. That ain’t going to happen.
The seat height is about 2 cm taller than my Swift but it doesn’t have the great big side bolster that the Swift has so I don’t have to ‘flop’ down into it. Getting out is much easier. Very comfy place to be.
Because of the Covid regs in Wales there are no test drives (officially, I know some independent dealers are doing it on the sly) so I could only sit in one that’s being picked up in a few days in the compound.
Just done a deal on a Ford Puma 155 ST Line Vignale with Driver Assistance Pack in Frozen White. The only colour in stock in that spec in the UK and one of the 2 colours I couldn’t decide between.
Just have to wait for it get here from Dagenham now. Could be a few days or a few weeks.
Played the 2 Ford dealers of against each other and the local one gave me a better deal on my car, £64 more.
Have a look at fiat money, it might scare you though.
Just watch out for Hybrid and E badges on vehicles in front.
As a soonish driver of a (very mild) hybrid I’ll be keeping an eye on the rear view mirror!
That’s why electric cars /hybrids usually have some form of regen that often uses the motor/s to top up the battery.
In some of them you’ll only ever use the brakes in an emergency.
No loan for the Swift JCD, the dealership gave me retail price for my 2017 Swift as they already had the replacement demonstrator and needed to shift it. It cleaned my savings out though.
I have another RC toy arriving within the hour. 🙂
