Fair play.
Keep it up.
If you have the spare £ the Shield TV is one to get. Really not cheap but you can game on it if you feel like it.
Have to agree with BL, spend out on as high spec as you can in the first place or you’ll just end up spending more in the long run.
I’ve set up various devices from Android TV box’s, Firesticks, Now TV devices and Fire TV and the Fire TV is the winner, much more responsive than anything else and is easy to sideload Apps to. (Not touched a Roku for years but they were the king).
Some people need a lot of salt, back in 2016 I helped Sean Conway on the cycling leg of his ridiculous triathlon around the UK. I cycled with him from Cardiff to Barry and gave him pointers on getting further easier (local knowledge). He has to add salt to virtually everything as his sweat contains 4 times as much salt as a normal persons and nobody knows why.
Had a cryptic text from 3 last night with no helpful info apart from ‘contact customer services’. Rather than hanging on the phone I went to the 3 store in town this morning, very helpful but odd looking bloke (one of the ones that has a big beard that looks wrong on him) did some investigating and figured out that 3 were trying to port my PAYG number from EE. The number has never been on EE, no wonder it failed.
Mr man did some more typing and declared that the change over would happen within 24 hours. Less than 2 minutes later I had a text saying the change over had happened and my PAYG SIM died. Checked the app and my remaining credit was there and all my allowances were also updated, strangely I have an extra GB of data and 80 minutes of calls, no complaints here.
I like Under Armour stuff, great quality and the boxer shorts are by far the best I’ve worn. Trouble is it’s usually damn expensive.
I have a savings account with some £ in it just for when I spot the stuff going cheap. The 6 nations is coming up so Aldi (and probably Tesco and ASDA) will be doing their licensed home nations stuff again. The Aldi stuff is as good quality as Under Armour, or was last year. Tesco and ASDA still very, very good and a hell of a lot cheaper.
I have some ‘posh’ jeans, Diesel and some other make that were given to me by a mate that I did some phone/computer stuff for and wouldn’t take any money, they just landed in my lap one Sunday lunchtime in the legion. My usual jeans are ASDA ones, very tough and I don’t care if they get covered in oil or anything else, they cost me about £5 a pair years ago.
My contract SIM came today when I was out having a medical assessment, now have my One Plus 5T running both PAYG and contract SIMs while the number and credit switch takes place. Totally confused the 3 app, had the PAYG as primary SIM then switched the data and texts to the contract SIM, phone calls, the phone is set to ask which SIM to use. The 3 app sorted itself out after about 1/2 an hour.
The 2 signal strength indicators show that the 2 SIMs are active.

Laptopsdirect have a few decent refurbs for what seem to be decent prices. 2.02% back through Top Cash Back as well.
That Green Johanna would be great for mum’s place, they currently have 3 (maybe 4) large compost bins which are in various states of decomposition. They work well but take about 3 years to be fully ready.
Iceland (The supermarket, not the country) have vowed to replace all plastic on their own brand stuff within 5 years.
Ed, Denmark also has recycling points where you get paid for recycling, I know bottles/jars and cans are accepted, not sure about other stuff.
My waste (actual landfill) is pretty much all food packaging, I have about 1/2 a bin bag full (less when compressed) every fortnight in my black wheelie bin. Stupid thing is the ‘waste operatives’ (bin men to you and me) aren’t allowed to touch anything that isn’t in the black bin so they have to lean into the bin to remove the bag as it’s easier to just chuck the bag in the back of the wagon than drag the bin around. My recycling is usually about 3/4 of a green bag (same size as a bin bag) weekly. Food waste gets put into the outside caddy when the bag gets a bit full, it’s mostly tea bags and egg shells. The caddy gets manhandled to the kerb about once a fortnight but could go every week.
Amazon have a £10 of a £50 spend today only, not a huge discount but handy if you’re spending anyway. Code is BIGTHANKS, certain accounts only and today only.
It was me that pointed out Smarty, I looked at it yesterday but the three deal is better for me.
The app had an update yesterday, for me anyway. Hopefully it’ll be better now. It was shockingly bad, used to take an age to update, if it did at all!
Force stopping it can help, reinstalling is another option that has helped me in the past.
My brother was over this weekend, he’s taking his kids skiing soon, 620 odd mile drive each way. Guess where the power bank has gone? ?
I use Android Pay instead of my card for contactless, the card details used by Android Pay isn’t your actual card details, it’s a virtual set of information.
I have a few Dickies items, benn buying them on and off for years. Used to get them direct from the USA when I worked for a Skateboard shop many (about 25) years ago.
One jacket I have is quite a heavy cotton and looks like it cost a lot of money, paid about £15, I could have sold it many times over for a profit.
Yes, that popped up in my news feed. That’s really a terrible breach.
My paternal grandfather suffered with piles for years, the rubber ring was used for many things by my brother and I as youngsters (about 5 and 7), Action Man used it to cushion his fall from whatever tree I could climb, it was also used as a floating base for Action man in his scuba gear.
IIRC he chose his last car (A Datsun Violet) for the ‘accommodating’ drivers seat.
Had a major service done today, 54,000 one. I knew it was going to be due soon when I got the car and used that to help haggle.
Got them to put Iridium spark plugs in instead of the standard ones and also went for a new battery, turns out the one in there was OK but not as good as Mr AA thought it was. I’d rather not worry about it for £70, I worry enough about other stuff as it is. Need to check my warranty to see if the battery is covered, I doubt it.
Car feels even better than it did, which is remarkable.
Got home not long ago to find the charger in my ‘safe place’. It’s got some weight to it! Feels like a quality lump of kit, the torch is a bonus and the fact you can charge it via micro usb or a lighting cable is nice, if irrelevant for me.
Chuffed. ?
