I despise the Cashcow and the Puke. Hateful things mostly driven by small women that can hardly see over the steering wheel and have no idea what mirrors are for. Around here anyway.
P.I.P is a broken by design system, DLA is much fairer, believe it or not, which is why working age people can no longer get it.
Even if I got full mobility I wouldn’t get a motability car, P.I.P can be stopped in a heart beat and the car gone in under a week. I don’t need a big car so my paid for Swift does me fine, it’s just big enough for airport runs and small enough to chuck around and park in tiny spots. Plus it’ll sit at 95 if you really want it to, gets a bit noisy past 80 but I don’t go past 77 often. ?
I’m saving for my next car already.
I did a trial for Cardiff Bus years ago, as a bus driver and/or apprentice fitter. So they would have paid for me to get a HGV and/or PSV licence. Passed all the driving tests no problem, dumb arse left eye failed the medical, I can legally fly a passenger jet (if I passed the test) but can’t drive anything bigger than a 7.5 ton lorry.
I’ve driven double trailer HGV’s on private land, Bobcats, and once a rock truck that was huge. Almost literally lost half my bodyweight due to sweat on that occasion. The road was about 6″ wider than the truck.
Had one of each now (the Flavourly ones) and while I like them I can’t see me buying them again. Just a bit much, like they are trying too hard.
I’d have the odd one if they were available locally but I won’t be buying a box again, unless it’s for someone else.
Finished my driving duties so just sampling a Porter now. I find it quite nice, even though I don’t eat chocolate (or any sweets for that matter) and haven’t done for years. It was a staple part of my diet when I started work full time at 15, at least 4 bars a day.
The glasses are lovely and the way the cans open is brilliant.
Bob, apparently there is a open cast mine there.
I’m well aware of the mining history of Wales, spent some holidays gold and silver mining
No ? here, driving later. And my box of craft beers just arrived. ?
It apparently was in a place called Cwmllynfell, not to far from Neath.
Howley has his opinion, and it’s a far more knowledgeable opinion than a lot of other people’s but it’s still just his opinion.
No one can tell what would have happened in the game after that try. Apart from Wales would have been 5 points closer if not 7. That would probably have changed the whole attitude of the teams.
I don’t know which incident Dave is referring to re a forward pass so I won’t comment on that.
Yes teams get done over by the ref/TMO but the incidents I’ve seen recently were close calls, this wasn’t. It was clearly a try. If it was a 50/50 call or even 60/40 then I’d probably have forgotten it by now. Again, it wasn’t. This has been shown by the statement.
Dave, I’ll get over it at my own pace, thanks.
No more comments from me on the match in question, my position is clear as is the position of Dave and I’ve no wish to fall out over what is after all only a game. (Albeit a bloody important one!!!)
No Dave.
Only when we are.
Hell of a game today, really surprised with France, fair play to them.
Bob, I’m guessing you watched the Welsh match on ITV, on S4C it was shown as clearly being a try, which it was. TMO was mental not to give it. That was at least 5 points, more than likely 7 as it was the correct side for Patchell to kick the conversion. Robbed.
Another great deal, see the HUKD thread.
It was a good match, that matters more to me than the ultimate result. At least we turned up and had a good go.
Ok, Wales lost. Not happy about it but it could/should have been a lot worse.
Way to many mistakes by Wales, simple ones, lots of penalties missed by the ref-on both sides.
I’ll take it on the chin and move on.
VLC has done 360 video for a while, just not very well in my experience, it worked but looked a bit odd.
No worries Bob, they’ve made the target and over £4k more with 30 hours to go. ?
If nobody knows what the signs mean how can you be done for dangerous driving? Surely it would need a national campaign informing everyone.
After a bit of digging it seems that they are advisory only and a green ring is also advisory. Never heard of or seen them until just now.
There’s a 20 speed limit near my mum’s place, the Police can’t do anything about you going faster as it’s an illegal system. The parish council lobbied for it and the local council installed it without getting the necessary paperwork so all the speed tables, speed warning signs etc were a waste of money. They should all have been removed but the council claim they can’t afford it.
The worst thing is it’s a busy narrow road with parking on one side, get a bus (about 12 an hour peak times) or even a large van coming one way and the traffic grinds to a halt, also there’s a very busy hospital just off it and the traffic lights are the worst I’ve ever seen, they also cause huge jams. So it was a waste of time and money from the outset as you can hardly get to 20 most of the time.
One of the routes I use often is a busy lane, starts at a 30 limit, then 40, about 2 miles of national speed limit then down to 40 the other end until it hits a large roundabout. It’s a great drive when it’s quiet as there are some nice corners. Hit it today and there was a learner doing 15 mph all the way, the stupid instructor should have told the learner to pull over in one of the laybys. It was blatant that the learner wasn’t ready for a busy road, could hardly get round the corners. All that achieved was a stressed learner and frustrated tailback of about 40 cars.
With Screwfix even if you pay online and collect in store you need to verify the card by inputting your PIN. It’s a minor hassle to make sure you get what you paid for.
Probably a daft idea but is the BIOS/UEFI battery working properly? Keeping time and date? Seen that cause weird issues before.
Usually the last resort for me.
