Gutted to hear the news.
I had a feeling all was not well though.
One of the good blokes and I’m honoured to have know him.
Sleep well Bob.
John, it was meant to be the last version, updated all the time.
Microsoft want everyone to be on a subscription service, not happening here. My old Thinkpad is my only Windows machine, literally only for trying to replicate what others have done when they ask me for help.
I’ll have a proper read of all that later on, thanks Ed.
Linus Tech Tips did a video about gaming on Win 11, they couldn’t get it to install on physical hardware.
They had to install it on a VM. You might want to watch that before trying to install it. Link.
Good luck Lee.
Hope the move works out well for you.
The Met Office warning for thunder was cancelled yesterday.
I’ve been woken up by sunlight for the last 10 days or so but this morning it’s seagulls freaking out. It’s overcast and very warm already, feels like a storm is due.
Bob, no need for an apology. I thought it would be something like that.,
The fact that you offered one just proves that you’re a good bloke.
Take care.
Bob, I’m not complaining about my situation.
It is what it is. I’m very aware that there are lots of people worse off than me.
There are lots of people in a far better place than I am physically, mentally and neurologically. And lots worse off.
My point is, I have no point.
Bob, truly gutted for what you are going through.
How did get you’re wife? Sometimes good stuff happens to good people.
Saw the rheumatologist this morning and he examined my shoulders and the ultrasound results and was of the opinion that my left shoulder does need surgery and my right is slowly getting worn out. He did give me a steroid injection in then left shoulder to try and ease the pain but if the ones I’ve had in my hip are anything to go by I’m not hopeful.
My MRI results weren’t available yet so he’s going to chase them up and write to me with the outcome. Again I’m not hopeful as the pain in the right one is terrible and the left is getting worse.
Lee, good to hear that you have some funds for upfront rental costs, sucks that you can’t get anywhere though.
Have you tried all avenues, housing associations, council and so on?
Best of luck.
It’s been warm-ish here for a while (out of the bitter, strong wind) but the warmth is behind schedule, without a doubt.
Mum keeps telling me that her tomato plants are way behind schedule and I was shocked to see how small they are . They’d normally be a good few feet tall by now but are about 4″ as of Wednesday.
Royal Mail next day by 1pm fully insured £11.
Other options are available but that would be at your own risk.

Postage estimates soon.
I’ll let it go for £150 plus postage.
I can get postage costs later
I’ll also post some photos later.
Now have a hip MRI on Tuesday.
Also need surgery on my knackered left shoulder according to the rheumatologist. Need to wait for that surgeon to get involved now.
No problem Keith.
It won’t be for everyone.
That’s a step in the right direction Lee.
Have you thought about going to the local papers?
Good luck with the gnasher.
I take it you used single spot focus and if not you may well be able to get a better picture and great pickie BTW.
It was on auto focus, forced by a half press of the shutter button. I got a few shots closer up but they used the digital zoom as well so weren’t as clear as the pure optical zoom ones.
The paranoid bit of my personality suspects a possible attempt to set up a robbery.
Other than that I have no idea why they’d bother.
Had ultrasound scans on both shoulders this afternoon.
Some fluid around the joints but according to the Doctor that was pulled in for a second opinion ‘just within normal range’ and a torn rotator cuff on the left shoulder. Again. Last had that about 2 years ago, physio ‘cured’ it but it’s always been rough.
Ryan , if you read this and you need to go to the Heath, check parking before you go. It’s a bloody nightmare there now. I had to park opposite the A+E in the multi storey, luckily bagged a disabled spot on the ground floor but it’s a long way for a broken person from there to radiology. And back. I’m totally knackered and in loads of pain now.
