I’ve no time for any of the supposed royal family. All a load of outdated nonsense.

Just to make sure, portrait mode, not the orientation of the phone? In portrait mode on the 5T you can see it picking up faces, backgrounds and other stuff. I keep forgetting it takes a while to do it’s thing.

The video on the 5T is superb, IMO. I’ll get some video links up tomorrow hopefully, watching the Cardiff Blues being beaten by fricking Gloucester in the Challenge Cup final, half time so plenty of time left.

            Is that in portrait mode?

The 5T has a portrait mode but it takes a bit too long for it sort itself out, no good for quick snaps but if the subject is willing to wait about 20 seconds then it works very well.

              If only JCD!

Having another test drive on Tuesday, even though the new car is slightly shorter than mine (10mm) the space inside is amazing. It’s like going from a Citigo/Up!/Mii to a Mondeo.

If all is as good as I remember it being it’s time to apply the thumbscrews!

Just been offered a 10 month old Swift SZ-T for my car and £6,800, 3434 miles on it, first service thrown in as well. Tempting deal, it’s the dealerships runabout and is as new.  Right colour as well, red.

Been offered some good deals on PCP contracts but I’m not sure about them, ATM the payments wouldn’t be an issue, could afford the top spec over 25 months easily but if my PIP was messed about with (always possible with the DWP) then my savings would go down quickly, the trouble I had with my current PIP award puts me off the idea.

                  Decisions, decisions.

Doppelganger, I have one. Hope the feck witt is dead.

About 27 odd years ago I shared a nice house in a not so nice area of Cardiff. I went out on my mountain bike to get some beer and smokes from the local 7-11. Newly done, spiked, fluorescent green hair and all. Put the bike inside the shop, in the corner out of the way by a chest freezer, hard to see it. Within 3 minutes the bike and I were in the back of a Police van.

Somebody matching my description exactly, lopsided ears and all, riding a mountain bike was wanted for attacking 3 women in 2 days in the area. They had fingerprints and the whole thing was quickly cleared up  when I showed them my partially amputated finger which is VERY unique.

Gits left me in the town centre instead of taking me back to where they picked me up, said I was lucky!!!.

Been cool here today, anywhere from 10-14 C, also been cloudy so no need for the aircon in the car.

Thunderstorms are threatened for some parts of the country, doubt it’ll happen here though.

Should be fun for all the footie fans today then. They were starting to turn up when I was on my way home this morning at 7.30am!

Just had another go, after typing regsvr32 wups2.dll /s into an admin powershell session, rebooted, check for updates, all went well. Took about an hour and a half, it rebooted about 4 times to my knowledge, could have been a lot more.

Thanks for all the good wishes.

The GP I saw today is superb, I honestly don’t think I could see any one better. TBH they are all very good at the surgery but this one just has a bit more desire to help people. Shame it’s very hard to get an appointment  as she’s part time.

Ed, there’s meant to be a pain clinic referral in the works but it can take upto a year in the area I am

Glad it’s all getting sorted Bob.

My surgery uses My Health Online, it’s really quite useful. You can export appointment details direct to Google  Calendar.

They also send SMS reminders of appointments.

Just seen the GP, she gave me some info on possible medication to help with my pain. There will also be a referral to a ‘wellness team’ to see if there’s anything they can do for me in general but mostly along the lines of finding me somewhere quiet (in terms of noise and people) where I can ride an exercise bike for a few hours a few times a week.

X220 won’t have it, keeps failing. Bored after 2 hours of ‘fun’. I’ll try again tomorrow, maybe. MIght just nuke it and do a fresh install with the latest version.
