I’ve been to 3 Asda and a Tesco trying to find a jar, even though they offer them for delivery, none have them on the shelf.

I might try Waitrose in Barry, no idea what the parking for blue badge holders is like though. Never been to the shop so it might be an issue for me.

I’m not bothered about things like blood pressure/ liver function/heart rate and so on, all my results always come back as superb. Regular blood tests because of the methotrexate and a very good GP, when I can see my prefered one.

There are oriental shops about a mile away, if that, but parking is a major issue.

Can’t use mum’s Amazon account as she recently switched banks and hasn’t updated her card details and she’s on holiday. Might just buy some stuff for my niece and nephew to get free delivery on my account. ?

Steve, take your lad to the GP, explain why you think he needs an assessment, better still let him do the talking if he can. I know full well what happens under stressful situations.

Ed, thanks for the Miso tip, tried some today and it’s lovely. That’s going to be my first drink of the day from now on. Could only get expensive sachets so will order some from Amazon in a jar.

You probably need to be an annoyance to get anything done Steve. The way the NHS is that seems to be the future.

Bob, I know what you mean about needing a sit down visit, since I started on the methotrexate (originally a chemo only drug) I need 4-6 trips a day, it used to be 2 at most. Longer car journeys like the recent one to Bristol Airport and back need careful planning.

Bees are at my mother’s place, gorging on all the flowers and plants there. Flying ants are also there, out the front. Went into mum’s house for 20-30 minutes came out to go home and there was a huge swarm of flying ants, all over mine and my mothers car and her neighbours. Turned around and got a face mask and safety glasses and got the hose out to wash them away. 10s of thousands of them.

Hopefully I won’t have to feed the birds as much this week as they pick the little blighters off.

Had a jaunt over to Bristol Airport and back today. Furthest I’ve been in the new Swift. Much better on the motorway than the old one, steering is a touch light when it’s blowing on the Second Severn Crossing but not enough to be a problem. The torque is very handy when you have some arse in a van/Range Rover/ Audi/ BMW trying to bully you out of the outside lane, briefly nail it and they are left with jaws on the floor.

HIt major traffic on the M4 on the way home, several brake downs (I spotted 8, niece and nephew counted 12) and 2 police cars with pulled over people in separate locations, all within 20 odd miles. Remains of a nasty crash on the other carriageway, car with no front end at all, roof and doors removed. 2 lanes shut and police doing investigations. That was a huge tailback, 20 miles easy.

Car didn’t miss a beat, extra interior space was noticed and appreciated by brother and his kids, the kids loved watching Waze and were blown away when I sent a hangouts message to my mother as my brother was fast asleep.

Uncle Nolan has ‘a cool car with more stuff than daddys.’ ?

Saw the well being lady today, explained my problems with the mental health centre and she asked my permission to intervene. One signature later she disappeared for a few minutes and came back saying she’d made a phone call. 5 minutes later the centre called her and apologised and said the report was being sent that moment. 10 minutes or so later the surgery rang me to inform they had got the report.  I asked for a copy of it and 15 minutes later I was at the surgery with a copy of the report in my hands.

I have no idea who she called but by heck they have some clout. Amazing result from a very well connected lady. I suspect she could earn a fortune but doesn’t need to, she has that look of having a big lump of money, very subtle though. I honestly think she truly just wants to help people.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions so far.

Joe Walsh, I knew I recognized the name, he did the theme to one of my favourite films, The Warriors. (In The City).

I’ll have to look for more of his stuff. Ditto The Radiators From Space. Thanks.

Kris Kristofferson also needs further investigation.

Nothing like that here Bob. Different system. I’ll double check though, shame as that looks very good.

Dave, I feel your pain about the heat. My little house is on a NE/SW line, front to back.

The car out the front gets baked in the morning, as does the kitchen and bathroom, then the living room (patio doors) and bedroom get cooked as the sun goes over the house. It’s so hot I’m not switching lights on unless absolutely necessary.

If you’re a 3 contract customer and have a Majestic Wine nearby check the Wuntu app. You can get 4 Brewdog Punk IPA for £0.

It might work for some PAYG customers, didn’t for my mum though.

I’m currently thoroughly enjoying mine. ?

I’ve been over at my mother’s most of the day minding the house while she gets ready for a holiday early next week. A bathroom is being re-done.

Had a phone call on my way home but it wasn’t a number in my contacts so it was ditched. Checked the voicemail when I got home and it was a garbled message about my visit yesterday. tried calling the centre and nothing at all, no dial tone. Called the surgery to check if the report had been sent over yesterday and it wasn’t. ?

I’ve had it with them, I’m doing a formal complaint. I’m seeing the well being people tomorrow and I’ll ask if they have any experience with doing complaints, if not I’ll use the online form I found. If I go back there I’ll lose my temper with the incompetent fools.

Over 8 weeks after my Autism diagnosis and nothing from the mental health team, no letter to the GP, no letter explaining what’s going on. So I went down to see them. I was very hot (I hate this heat, I’m Welsh!) and in the mood for getting stuff done.

Within 20 minutes I saw the psychiatrist that I previously saw and had assurances that the GP would have a fax (in this age!!) and a follow up phone call to make sure it had been received. I’ll be in touch with the surgery tomorrow to check.

Autism Spectrum Disorder is the actual diagnosis. Apparently that’s the new way to describe autism conditions.

If I could get a cheap Chromebox with Android support to replace my little Dell 3050 as a media device my only Windows rig would be my X220. It’s hardly used but kept so I can ‘keep my toe in’ with Windows.

Sadly some media services don’t play nice with anything but Windows.

My Chromebook has changed how I view Windows completely.

Bob, for Android Auto to work on the cars built in screen it needs to be ‘baked in’ to the infotainment system.

It’s still very good on a phone, if yours supports it. Just go to the Play store and search for Android Auto, if it installs, happy days. I used it on my phone in a holder on the dash in the old Swift that didn’t have Bluetooth, still worked well.
