Thing is with Samsung phones is they cost a lot for what you get.

Any idea of budget? That’s the main thing to get sorted first.

The gp warned me to take a day of driving so I can see how I’m affected, if at all, and go from there. I was out early this morning getting supplies in before I started on the co-codamol. I also have laxatives to take daily as a preemptive strike.

Richard, thanks for the good wishes, hope all gets better with you and yours.

Saw the GP yesterday and I’m coming off the gabapentin as it does nothing. Now starting on co-codamol, 30/500, one tablet 4 times a day to see how that goes, if nothing I can go to 2 tablets 4 times a day. Not over the moon about taking it but I’m at the point now where the pain is almost stopping me from doing everyday things and I’m a stubborn git.

Also got an appointment in August with the Integrated Autism Service, the GP was blown away as they have only been going about a year and they have a massive backlog of patients waiting to be seen. The wellbeing woman has some contacts with massive clout.

I’d call it a gable end. No idea if that’s right though.

Unless they have sneaked some GPS tracker app (or you’ve inadvertently shared your location with them via Google maps), it can be done but not by the normal person. Some info.

Just got back from Barrybados (Barry Island) and it’s nice there today, lovely cool wind. Got back to the car after literally 5 minutes and the temperature was 40C. That’s what being in direct sun is like here. Once moving it dropped to 29C.

Even with the cool wind it’s way too hot for me, about 18C is my limit.

The land in the distance is England, Weston-super-Mare, roughly.

Lee  I’m with you on the hate of this heat. Can hardly sleep and doing anything in the day leaves me dripping with sweat.

It was one of the nice ones Bob, some of them are truly terrifying. I’ve woken up in a state of terror and ran downstairs (not good with a ruined hip and other joint problems) thinking that people are going to kill me. Next day I could hardly move.

Well I used some of my credit to buy a Monkees album, I had a very odd dream last night (I have them quite often, lack of deep sleep) where they sang at my wedding and funeral. ?

I reckon if they are nice enough to do that I should rediscover their music. ?

I suspect you’ll need a legacy version of whichever media player you try.

If one of the updates is for the play store you might just get lucky if it updates the services as well. I have a feeling you could waste a lot of time trying to get it to work.

I have no interest in foot ba,  but this is one instance that I might just give England a teeny bit of support. I won’t watch any game, if this was rugby I’d be supporting anyone bar England. Rugby is in my soul, foot ba, nope.

Is that the autism or my grandfathers teachings? Maybe both.

Zoostorm used to do very well in reviews. Pointed a few people at them years ago and no complaints.

I had my miso burger and it was superb, way better than the one I had from the same pack that was bland and a dissapointment.

Miso rib eye steak tomorrow. ?

Richard, marmite is one of my favourite things, love it.

Went to Waitrose in Barry, thankfully it was quiet and I bagged a disabled spot easily. Really impressed with the range of stuff for a smallish supermarket, 3 different kinds of miso in jars and 4 in sachets. Not cheap at £4 for 300g (Amazon ordered stuff works out at £2.50 for the same amount) but handy to know I can get it almost local. Going to marinade a 1/4 pounder in it tomorrow.

I’d have a long hard think about whether or not you NEED Windows. I don’t anymore. I’ve yet to find anything my Chrome/Android machine can’t do. Usually easier and cheaper than on Windows.

My X220 is only used to do updates and check it’s working, only reason I have it still is I still sometimes get asked Windows questions but it’s mostly tv streaming and Android these days.

assuming they get Edge to start to rival its competitors.
