I’d be inclined to steer clear of that one, pushing that screen res with that cpu and amount of RAM could get unpleasant quickly. If it was just a hd screen that would be a different matter.

Just on sheer value it looks good for a youngster or a first smart phone but I’d still go for something else. I’ll look later.

The parcel might never have actually been in the locations at all. DPD tracking shows where they expect the parcel to be, not where it actually is (apart from when it’s out for delivery). Amazon might do something similar. It could also just be a glitch in the system.

How’s the feedback ? What’s it for? If it’s lots of small cheap items bought, be wary

Bob, I once drove a 2004 MR2, on a go kart track in Cardiff. My friends brother owned the place and had literally just inked the deal to sell it for a very healthy profit. The car was owned by the company so he didn’t care about it any more. Very good fun but push it to hard (and you had to drive like a loon) and it swapped ends quickly, IIRC the only mid engined car I’ve driven.

TT speed camera doesn’t work on Android Auto. It still runs on the phone but isn’t mirrored onto the infotainment screen.

Only Google or Apple sat nav apps work on Android Auto/ Apple car play.

Steve, I’d go the MX5 route, an Eunos if possible. Real possibility of making money if you get a good one. Might take 5+ years but they will eventually be worth good money.

JCD, i’ll give the TomTom speed camera app a whirl on Android Auto tomorrow, see how it works in my car.

just been through the whole insurance renewal palaver with Admiral. They wanted nearly £640, magically reduced to just under £500 on the ‘phone. Informed them that I won’t be renewing with them because I can get it for £350 with Debenhams insurance through Moneysupermarket. Saved another £15 by using the link from MSE

Happy with that result, a lot less than last year, even with my lowly 1 years n0-claims.

Bob, I have one similar, not sure if it would work for you but it’s redundant now.  Used it in my 2012 Swift a few times, never budged or let my phone slip once even though it’s a bit of monster.

                          Yours if you want it.

The wifi was done about 3 years back, after I showed them how it would make running the club much easier by doing most of it online. Computer equipment was originally a P200 which I overclocked to 233  mhz using the jumpers on the motherboard (before they had broadband) which came from the Western Mail and Echo. Since it’s been kit donated by members that have upgraded.

Now most of the members have smart phones, even if they’re not really sure why! ?

The only place that I go to that is cash only is the Legion. The vast majority of the regulars are 60+ and use cash almost exclusively. They contemplated getting a card machine but they had one for a month on a trial and it was used twice. That might change in the near future as they are getting a lot more private parties and have been asked a lot if they take cards.

Regarding the self service tills, I use staffed tills whenever possible but my priority is to get in and out as quick as possible so use what’s going to be quickest.

That explains some of the crazy deals ATM.

IIRC VW have also shut production down on certain models, the Up! GTI being one. I reckon the Up! GTI would be a perfect second car, quick and fun and cheapish.  The Mii mum had was a proper laugh, handled really well and with a bit of a thrashing could be made to keep moving quicker than most city cars.Too small for most people as an only car though.

Not been up North for about 20 years.

My brother had a Leon ST, 2.0 diesel, his ex-wife has it now, must be 10 years old or more by now. Apart from getting the underside undersealed again it’s been faultless .He also had a Leon 2.0 diesel until he traded it for his current Q3. He loved them both.

Some really good deals on pre-reg Seat near me, the dealer must have bought a load to meet their targets.

What Ryan said. Unfortunately with the NHS the way it is you have to dig deep and kick arse.

                                    Good luck.

Co-codamol does nothing for the pain, no real surprise. Hopefully I can talk to my preferred GP tomorrow, phone advice only, otherwise it’s endure the waiting room on Thursday morning and hope I can see another GP I know.

In 11 days I’ve done over 600 miles, nothing for some people but that’s a lot for me. Usual is between 10-30 a day.

MPG has now improved to within 1.5 of the 53 indicated, was getting 45 odd.

Best bit is my niece and nephew love it as it goes around corners without rolling like an ocean  going liner. Nephew gets carsick in my brothers Audi Q3, not a hint of it in my Swift. And the kids think a Q3 is boring and an old man’s car and the Swift is fun and a young man’s car. My brother hated that, he’s all of 20 months older than me. ?

Waze is still brilliant but it would be even better if you could flip the speed readout to the left of the screen instead of the right, I have to move my head out to see it due to the steering wheel hiding the exact spot it occupies on the screen.

                                          3G/4G bands supported, Ed.

Sometimes there is a difference in SoC, RAM, even screen size.
