I saw the Integrated Autism Service on Thursday, a ton of stuff to try and take in but luckily the woman I saw emailed the info after the appointment.
One suggestion was a free OU Course
I’ve just been through it in a little over 2 hours, I really don’t see how it can take 20 for a person of average comprehension and intellect.
The course is pretty good. I may well hunt some other free ones down.
Got the book on Saturday. You’re right Bob, brilliant read.
Eyeing up some of his other works for the future.
That’s horrible Bob. You have my sympathy.
My mothers neighbor was heading down that road, lovely bloke. He drifted off in his sleep, I’m sure when he had a lucid moment he decided he’d had enough of being a burden on his wife and kids and ‘switched himself off’.
I see no reason why not but not tried it myself. Maybe someone with more network experience (Dave, for example) could prove me wrong.
No sign of my collection ready email so I gave customer services a call. Answered in literally seconds, details and phone number taken with a promise that someone would call back before they finished at 5.30, call time was 5.10 so I was a bit sceptical about that.
5.15 I had a call from the collection branch manager (allegedly, for all I know he sweeps the floors) apologising about the delay and that for some reason the system hadn’t notified me that the books were ready for collection. Notifications received whilst talking to him. Have a code for 30% off valid for a month in store only as an apology. Might be able to pick up some Christmas presents on the cheap. ?
Annoying about the balls up but can’t fault the customer service team.
Maybe use VLC for the stream? Address is http://radio.talksport.com/stream
Works fine in the Android version of FF.
Edit.
I’ve binned the duplicate topic with the failed screenshots.
Just installing FF Android on my Chromebook to check.
No volume slider here on Chrome. Just mute/unmute.
Richer Sounds are top notch on customer service.
My first 22″ Samsung TV I bought from them developed a strange glitch, sometimes it wouldn’t turn off or back on. I called them and explained the problem and they said bring it in and we’ll have a look. Couldn’t do that as the closest car park is to far for me on crutches. let alone trying to carry a TV. They paid for a taxi bothways, fault established, new tv, slightly better than the original.
JCD, my grandfather also had a Cherry and then a Bluebird. When the cancer made it impossible for him to drive my mother had it. As you said, great, reliable cars.
Parked my car up yesterday morning at about 8am, mum picked me up about 9am, home about 6pm after a visit to the legion and some lovely duck for lunch. Kids on bikes trying to ride with the parents watching. I asked them to stay away from my car as the kids were wobbling all over the place.
Get up this morning (before my gabapentin adventure) to check the fluids on my car, about 7 scratches down the drivers side. I could have killed someone. Spent an hour claying/waxing/ polishing and they have got a lot better, some are deep enough to catch a nail in so beyond my capabilities. I thought everyone went in a bit sharpish last night. OFC no one knocked the door or put a note through my letterbox or on the car. Barstewards. Maybe £200-£300 worth of damage.
I know it was a bike, one set of scratches is exactly the same as I did to my own car years ago on my mates BMX, went a bit haywire trying some fancy flatland and caught the barend and brake lever on the passenger door.
I know who knows what happened because of the looks I got this morning when some of the neighbours were going out and I was trying to minimize the scratches. Guilt all over when I asked them if they knew anything.
I’ll get the stone chips on the bonnet and the other scratches (from when it was a demo car) and the new ones but not for a while. Kind of seems pointless now that I know that the vast majority of people that live near me are complete cowardly mammaries.
Ed, the one I linked to has 8 different modes, I’m pretty certain that you could find a mode/intensity combo that would help.
I have it set anywhere between 7 and 12 depending on the area and mode. I did my hip on the ‘pummeling’ mode at 12 yesterday and it looked like I was having a fit!
1 dose of gabapentin and my heart rate jumped from my usual 60 odd at rest to 120 at rest. That dropped to 90-100 in under an hour but has stayed at that rate. Trip to the surgery just now and a quick once over and my heart rate was 87 then 85 5 minutes later. No more gabapentin for me. I did get a referral to the pain clinic though.
I now start on pregabalin on Monday. Not holding out much hope TBH. When I saw the gp yesterday I mentioned that I had a loan TENS machine from the pain clinic years ago when I was still suffering terrible pain with my ankle, even though it’s ‘better than new’. She suggested getting one and giving it a go. Luckily for me SSE informed me that the dual-fuel tariff I was on wasn’t the cheapest anymore so I switched, Also got a £40 Argos voucher, which arrived via email this morning, and another £5 a quarter for 2 years.
Just been to Argos and bought this machine.
My word they have come on leaps and bounds. The one I had on loan was a big beige box, about the size of a mountain bike inner tube box, weighed a ton and took 8 AA batteries. The output was such that I could hardly feel the first 8 levels and started on 9 out of 10, quickly moving up to 10. This one weighs almost nothing, almost fits completely in the coin pocket on my jeans and packs a punch. Started on level 5 out of 20. Strangely it charges via mini USB but there’s a cable in the box so I don’t have to go through my cable collection to find one. So far I’m impressed.
I’m sure I will Bob, currently reading SPQR. Very good but not a light read, lots of names and dates and I’ve never been good at those. Only managed to nail my nieces birthday last year without prompting from mum, she’s 11 this year. ?
Nice one Bob, it’s £3 on The Works site and I can have it delivered to the most convenient branch for me, in a garden centre, for nothing. It’s a nice little back lane national speed limit route for a while, lovely corners as well. Bagged a couple of others as well.
Current one+ is the 6 with rumours about the 6t. I love my top spec 5t,still daftly powerful.
Ogygen is a very nice user experience , just bog standard Android with a few tweaks
I smoked from about 16 until maybe 30/31. It was easy for me to give up, I was rushed into hospital, that bit I remember, the rest is a hazy, foggy time. I was told my lung function was 20%, in total. Diagnosed with severe asthma. Consultant talked at me then went away. The doctor doing the rounds said ‘smoke again and you’re dead in months’. Never touched one since.
My yearly asthma review, when I was cycling, amazed everyone. lung capacity of an Olympic athlete, allegedly. My next one is due in a few months. I’ll be happy if it’s as good as the last.
Can’t stand the smell of tobacco now, I almost puked when a woman walked past me the other day, strong, musty damp tobacco smell. I also hate the vape odours, some are so sweet they also make me want to puke.
If you want to smoke, please do. Just not around people who hate it. Vape, same. Get completely arsed, dito. I like a good swear, especially when my joints crack. I won’t do it in a supermarket, will in the legion if there are no women in. Just respect others.
Here endeth the lesson. ?
