When I’m very anxious or excited I can’t talk. The words get jumbled up into what sounds to me like normal sentences but to everyone else they are nonsense.

Makes trying to get a lady interested very difficult. In the end i just used to get an extra drink, if they accepted it I would calm down a little, if not I would sit down and contemplate life.

The last bit is a lie.?

Had the left shoulder injected with steroids today, hard to tell if it’s actually worse or I can just feel it more now that the right is better after the steroid injection there.

It’s odd it works in my shoulder but hasn’t the few times I’ve had it in my hip. ?

When I was showing the GP where the pain was he got a little freaked out at my dislocating wrist and how blasé I was apart form the wince when it went back into place. Another referral in the pipeline……………..

Persimmons are the biggest bunch of scamming, back-hander giving scum builders. They use companies as fronts to disguise  the fact that they are doing the building work.

They tried the same thing on a then new estate near mum. They didn’t put down proper foundations, they didn’t fill in a ravine (maybe a bit of grand term, 70 odd feet deep) properly, they broke the brook that used to run through the village in a predicable manner-now it bursts through the road on a busy, narrow in some places hill.

BT was doing exactly the same thing to the residents, claiming that the estate was still private. A cousin of my mothers fella had a granddaughter living there at the time so I simply asked BT why the estate was still private if the council was going into it to collect recycling and waste. Amazingly the situation changed within about 4 weeks. I might have given OFCOM a heads up. ?

Could be Dave, just looked up the symptoms of dyspraxia in adults, quite a few that are common in autism and a fair chunk that I certainly have.  No issues with motor coordination apart from writing and sometimes talking.

Another one to bug the GP with…….

Another with shocking handwriting here. In my case it’s a combination of factors.

One was I used to hold a pen/pencil in a strange way, that was almost literally beaten out of me at school. My handwriting got worse. I also have a strange disconnection between my brain and hand when writing, the hand doesn’t do what the brain wants it too. It’s only when writing (or pissed) when this happens.

This is probably to do with my autism  and probable dyslexia (I say probable because it hasn’t been diagnosed, try getting a diagnosis as an adult not in education without forking out a few grand !!)

I have no idea either but it’s better than your posh motor bursting into flames.

Possible huge fine in South Korea also.

Currently listening to my most recent acquisition, Roxy Music, Essential.

Not listened to any Roxy Music for probably 25 years until yesterday on YouTube, wow, I’d forgotten how good they were.

Thanks Bob, another for me to get.

Recently finished Churchill’s Secret Warriors and They Fought Alone, both in the same vein.   If anyone fancies They Fought Alone and they have a branch of The Works nearby worth having a look, got mine for £3 in the local branch.

Ed, thanks for the Clarkson link, forgot about that one, time to view it again.

Finally remembered to get a (proper) tripod for my phone so I’ve trying out the time lapse and optical zoom today.

                            Timelapse

                            5* optical zoom.

I’m very impressed. For a phone camera it’s brilliant.

The tripod is this one and I’m blown away for the money. OK it’s mostly plastic but it should last well if treated with a bit of care.

Personally with a major fault I wouldn’t drive it any more than totally necessary, in other words back to the garage to get the work done, even if legally you can.

This popped up in my news feed earlier ‘Antisocial bees share genetic profile with people with autism‘.

The Big Ben tyres on my single speed are classed as mountain bike tyres but they are not wet, muddy weather ones. They are more like a slick tyre with tread cut into it. More suitable for hard packed, dry ground.

there was nothing to be gained by a prosecution, it would not be in the public interest

There was plenty to be gained by a prosecution and it would be in the public interest. Namely, no-one is above the law. Which the so called royals blatantly are.

I run Schwalbe Big ben on my single speed, helps save the wheels over the terrible pot holes on the roads around here. Also handy for going up and down steps.

Your tyres should be fine. Make sure they are inflated correctly. I’d only consider changing the tyres if they very worn/cracked or really heavy. Rotational weight can make a huge difference. My fat bike came with some Kenda tyres, terrible things. I switched to some Schwalbe Jumbo Jim and saved 850g per tyre which made a big difference to how the bike felt. They also grip properly.

I have a Stratos 4ZA saddle on my single speed, for me it’s a perfect mix of size and comfort. As mentioned already saddles are very personal.

You have plenty of time to get ready so don’t worry about it. I’d be more concerned about the logistics of the ride, is it supported? Are there feed and water sites? If not where can you get supplies? Are you going to carry spare tubes or just hope for the best?

Sadly no cycling for me for over a year now. ?

Currently waiting outside the Rheumatology Day Unit at the Heath hospital for a check up on how I’m going with the methotrexate injections. 2pm appointment.

Nightmare time for an appointment so I left early anticipating a long wait for a disabled parking space. Drove straight into one outside the main entrance. Also expecting a long wait for bloods. Again straight in.
