Steve, you’re right, I’d be a mess in that situation. ?

Took the car to get the tyre changed this morning, no problems. Until I get back to the car. Wrong tyre fitted. I asked for a specific Bridgestone so all the tyres match.

Go back and tell them and the parts bloke tried to fob me off by saying the tyre fitted was the updated version of the one I asked for. I told him I cannot and will not drive the car until it’s the way I asked, and was quoted, for.

And I can’t. My car has to be just so and an odd tyre will drive me insane. It’s winding me up now and the car is at the dealers still.  Should be done by 4 this afternoon as they have to order one in.

I’m not happy, to say the least.

Car serviced today, feels like a new motor again.

Nothing unexpected, going to need a new tyre and pads/discs in about 6 months, tyre is being done Thursday. I’ll get the pads and discs done in about 3 months time, sooner if I can save more £ to replace what I’ve spent recently.

Still got the big family birthday coming up and that’s going to cost a fortune.

Really nice here now, was gloomy when I went out but got some nice photos before I had to come home.

Bendricks, also known as dinosaur beach locally, for good reason. That was on the Mate 20 Pro and google stitched them together.

            Random boat.

What the boat actually looked like.

Last 2 were on the little Panasonic TZ90.

Steve, the standalone epos units might be available from which ever bank you deal with for nothing up front and a small % per transaction. When I worked in retail they were known as PDQ, Pretty Damn Quick was the slang and they mostly were, if they fell over it was a bitch having to drag out the old manual credit card device. Always happened around Christmas. ?

The steward at the legion makes a LOT of money from selling coffee and soft drinks at big events in Wales, the Royal Welsh and the like, but needed a permanent job when he moved last time to satisfy the mortgage company. He uses a wifi direct device which is linked to an iPhone 5, I think, which is literally locked to the biggest fridge he has, that’s if there is no landline connection.

Steve, that was the Mate 20 Pro.

One thing it beats the recent camera purchase on is super wide angle shots without a panorama.

Give me a few minutes, have to find that exact one again….

It was gloomy here today so after getting my car sorted I headed down the cost to Southerndown then down to Dunraven Bay.

I couldn’t see a thing at the car park on top of the cliff, literally nothing, fog was that dense over the sea. By the time I’d gone down the hill to Dunraven Bay it was clearing up so manged to get a few photos before the rain started.

The place I go for tyres is now part of a chain, thankfully it’s been left alone apart from some re-branding and tidying up.

Quickest they could get a tyre online was for Saturday morning, went to see them and it’ll be there tomorrow morning. Also having the tracking checked as they reckon that’s why only the one tyre is worn. Amount of huge potholes around here at the moment I wouldn’t be surprised.

Some of the potholes are almost big enough to lose a small wheel like on a Up! to half way.

JCD, hope the new motor lives up to your expectations.

I keep a very close eye on the stock levels of the dealers near me (Almost every major make is near!) and I also know of a few ‘secret’ areas where they keep stock and rotate the cars every so often to make it look like they are selling more than they are. Sneaky barstewards car dealers.

Getting a new car is great, I love it. I’m already on the look out for my next one, haven’t got the £ yet unless I just want a newer version of what I’ve got now but I’m after more power next time, not that I need it I just fancy a properly sporty car while I physically can get in and out of one.

Take care of yourself and the cats Lee, cats are great when times are tough, they give you a reason to get up and they are mostly very empathic.

                            Good luck.

The oil light came on today on my way home, had to pass the dealership so called in to get some oil, which was strange to me as it was fine on Saturday.

Talked to the guy in the parts section and it turns out that it’s an oil change warning light, not an oil shortage warning light.  ?

Which means a service, realistically. Just put a service light in the dash, ffs.

So it’s booked in for Monday.

About 2,000 miles or 2 months early but it does get driven, I don’t go mad but it’s such a laugh on B roads.

Also need a new tyre soon, will check with the place I’ve been taking various family members cars for years, which is literally 5 minutes away, tomorrow.

Mum wanted some photos of her garden so I put the new camera to use, not really my thing but the zoom lens did help as I had no need to bend over or kneel on the floor.

Managed to get a few shots of her semi tame robin.

                                    Really loving this little camera.

Bob, football does nothing for me.

I was forced to play it at school and that killed it for me.

Last time I was in Swansea was about 24 years ago at the uni, getting kicked out for skateboarding. I believe most of Swansea is much nicer than it used to be.

Fair play to Scotland. Hell of a second half.

Why couldn’t they have done that all tournament?

                                        World cup should be epic.

Ed, the Arms Park is the whole site of the Cardiff Blues and Cardiff rugby ground, the Millennium Stadium and the parking, what there is.

The Blues and Cardiff site is apparently looking to be updated, it’s a little older than me.

Used to have a mate that worked in the Angel, something like bar and hospitality manager, whatever that means. Could always get a few drinks gratis on a match day. I paid him back many times with lifts when i couldn’t drink.

If anyone put a lump of £ on that score, fair play to them.

Scotland were due a proper game and by heck have they turned up in the second half!

Bob, don’t have a clue about the round ball, only when CCFC are playing at home so I know I have to be parked up before the gits with £50K + motors try and park in my cul- de- sac in instead of paying £5 for proper parking………
