The main road near the estate which I live on was transformed to a 20 mph zone over the course of 2 nights. There is a junior school opposite one of the entrances to the estate on the main road. That stretch makes sense to be a 20 mph zone.

The rest of the road a 20 mph zone makes no sense at all. If it was on Cardiff City FC home match days (variable speed limit) I could see some logic to it but permanent is madness. I await the speed cameras to gather revenue.

The 20 mph zone by the school won’t make things any safer for the kids (the survival rate by being hit by a vehicle is an exception) unless the authorities clamp down very hard on the idiot parents, teachers and visitors to the school that park illegally and dangerously every single school day.  I’ve seen a road safety awareness van parked on the humped zebra crossing outside the school so it’s display materials could be unloaded with minimum walking by the driver. (Yes, it was reported to many people)

Ed, you’re right about Caerleon, amazing stuff there.

The amphitheatre is probably my favourite.

Used the command strips at mum’s place to put up some canvases that I had done of my better photos. They are really good.

Wilko do their own brand version which is also very good but not quite as good as command strips.

Waze is my usual sat nav but Google Maps is better at finding more obscure locations.

On my history field trip yesterday I started off with Waze and then switched to Google Maps for the last 10-15 miles. I love Android Auto. ?

I stopped watching it at the start of season 8, IIRC.  I just didn’t enjoy it as much.

I’m a huge fan of Zombie films/ series. Z Nation is a cracker and I’m currently enjoying Santa Clarita Diet.

                No problem BL

I’m trying to get to all of the ancient sites within about 90 minutes of me that I can physically get to, unfortunately lots are up hills or a fair walk from a car park.

I was very lucky today as a Natural Resources Wales (Forestry Commission) bloke gave me a lift from the car park to the site. For an able bodied person it’s only about 100m or so but that both ways is really pushing my limits. Most days after about 50m I’m knackered.

Have more if anyone wants to see some and look out for the bald head trying to hide in the 360 photo. ?

Today’s field trip was to Parc le Breos  Burial Chamber down Gower way. Not been that far West for a very long time, maybe 23 years if not more.

Bob, the consultant was happy with my rheumatoid, that’s the hip and hands, but also told me that I have osteoarthritis in many other joints, right wrist being potentially the worst ATM.

I’m currently in agony after the examination earlier on.

                            Thanks Richard.

It’s all over, some areas like my back, neck and shoulders are the worst but others like wrists, knees and ankles are catching up quickly.

I’ve just got back from seeing the Rheumatology consultant and I’ve now been diagnosed as having Fibromyalgia.

Another one for the ever growing list…..

Best bet would be to grab a few Win 10 licenses from ebay for a few £ each. Personally I’d do every machine with a fresh install.

I don’t have any links to the reputable sellers on ebay but I’m sure that some will be along fairly soon with some.

                                  Welcome back.

Ryan, I find swearing in Welsh or French, or both, confuses people enough to make them give up and go away.

Had it today on the way to Llantwit Major beach, very tight in certain sections. Idiots in massive SUV’s taking up all the road and refusing to reverse or pull in a bit. They think ‘might is right’. When I’ve finished with them they don’t anymore. ?

I also hate analogue clocks, the ticking drives me mental, and the fact that it takes me maybe 5 minutes to tell the time if it’s not one of the obvious ones like 1/2 past, 1/4 to.

Last watch that I wore through choice was a Casio Space Invaders one, can’t find it anywhere right now.

The mandatory speed limiter will be circumvented in seconds. Then be reinstated in seconds for the next service.

My car has tech I’m happy with, rear windows are wind up, don’t care as if anyone is back there I’m doing them a favour. It annoys me maybe 3 times a year when there is heavy condensation and I have to go back and wind the windows down to clear  it.

ESP works well, even in the wet. If you don’t use more than a 1/3rd throttle and never nail it. So not that well for me. I don’t care. It’s like an old school hot hatch that doesn’t break me every time I drive it.

Android Auto is now a must for me, music via Google Play Music playlists and nav mostly via Waze. Drove mum’s recent 18 plate special edition Fiat 500 briefly today and the lack of Android Auto was a nightmare. Crappy tiny screen was off 15 seconds after turning the ignition.

Just got back from picking up the car. It’s all now as it should be.?

Turns out the cock-up saved me a bit of £ as the the tyre I specified was £20 more than the one originally supplied. No extra charge because of the cock-up.

Went straight to get my first lot of methotrexate injectors from the pharmacy, they’ve come direct from the hospital up until now, they are a different design to the ones I’m used to. ?    RTFM on them when I’m out of the hospital supplied ones.

Bob, my brother extracts the urine with me about my car. He points out any dust or dirt knowing full well it’ll do my head in until I clean it. My back garden is a wildlife refuge. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. ?. My house is clean but has stuff everywhere. Just how I like it.
