Bob, best of luck to you and your wife.
Thankfully no-one is keen for me to have the hip re-facing operation, which is the preferred option so far.
2 pretty big operations in my life so far, mangled knee and smashed ankle-neither are as they should be. My body hates drugs and invasive procedures.
Bob, thanks.
Richard, I’ve looked up EDS as, like you say, many of my symptoms are also relevant to that illness. It’s a tangled web, that’s for sure.
TBH if it wasn’t for waiting for some deliveries tomorrow (all due in the morning so far) I’d be down the gym as early as it opened getting some endorphins flowing. So far for me the best pain killers are naturally produced ones.
Damn Small Linux would be my goto
Had the first Amitriptyline last night, was due to start Monday but I had to take mum to the hospital Tuesday morning so didn’t want to run the risk of unknown side effects when driving.
I’m happy to say so far no side effects which are obvious. There are some signs but they are close to issues I normally have so can’t be put down to the new medication.
Pain relief could be a long time coming but so far, for once, it’s looking hopeful.
How cheap?
ASDA usually have some in store for not a lot or there’s this one from John Lewis.
Source of the noise would help John.
Internal? Neighbours? Something else?
Thanks both.
Personally I’d be inclined to backup all relevant data, via which ever method you prefer (USB flash drive, sd, Google Drive and so on) and do a factory reset.
OFC that means putting back in details like the google account and other passwords but would be the safest option. It’s normally under settings, system, reset. Something like that, depends on the phone. Look for Factory Reset, reset or something like that.
Now have Amitriptyline to start next week.
See how that goes.
Thanks Richard.
Managed to book an appointment for tomorrow afternoon. I was very lucky, must be a cancellation.
The duloxetine didn’t last long.
Had very bad side effects including strong muscle tremors, headache, dry mouth and not sleeping for 48 hours. My anxiety also increased noticeably.
Saw the pharmacist this morning and she advised stopping them and seeing the GP again.
For the last few days my phone has been acting odd. For a start it wouldn’t display the time and date when it’s locked, sometimes it would, sometimes it wouldn’t. It would also through up a message saying ‘don’t cover the screen’ when I was using it. Nothing to do but lock it and unlock it again.
Dawned on me about 30 minutes ago that the ambient light sensor must be dirty, probably the cream that I have to put on my hands 3 times a day. A quick clean and all is well again. For a while….
I’ve known from a very young age that I was different from the so-called normal people. I also knew from about 11 that I couldn’t have kids because I wouldn’t be able to look after them as they would deserve.
I know now it’s autism.
I honestly believe because I’ve had major issues for many years that I just don’t give a flying *uc* about someones sexuality, physical ability, or lack of, religion or anything else.
Bluntly, if the person isn’t a knob, they are fine by me.
Delivery came about 12 minutes ago. Both shorts fit great, my legs look like matchsticks though ?
Amazing service, especially for what I paid.
Just look at all the betting adverts around sporting events.
All have offers along the lines of ‘deposit £10 get £30 free’ then go and tell you how great gambling with that company is and a 5 second snippet at the end about stopping when the fun stops. If people want to gamble their money, that’s up to them, but I honestly think the adverts are ramming it down people’s throats.
Saw the GP yesterday and I’m starting on Duloxetine for the fibromyalgia on Monday.
Just bagged The First Four Years by Black Flag. Play Store credit again. ?
Takes me back to my younger days as they were used a lot in skateboard videos, especially Santa Cruz ones. Still brilliant.
Gaer Llwyd and Trellech
Almost certain that it was the stones at Trellech I was parked across the road from, layby big enough for maybe 3 cars but the first half was very broken and bumpy.
Today’s field trip was a failure, I couldn’t find either of the sites I was looking for but I’m 90% certain I was parked in a layby directly opposite one of them, busy B road and a high hedge ruled investigating further out.
On the up side I did have about 90 minutes enjoying the roads and views of Monmouthshire. Great drivers roads, some like roller-coasters. Exactly what my Swift excels at. No photo opportunities sadly but that’s not the end of the world.
A great way to spend a few hours this morning.
I tried white noise apps before, they just annoyed me.
The cycle machines have a large touchscreen on them and they have different scenery and terrain you can choose from or you can watch YouTube or Netflix. (Apparently, I didn’t see that working).
