Had some time to experiment with the Vodafone SIM today.

Gets 4G all over the house. 20 down and about 10 up with no problems. The best bit is in my preferred location (next to my multi USB charging brick) it gets 45-50 down and 15-20 up. ?

      That’s in my OnePlus 5T.

Just need to get shot of Virgin now.

        John, well done on quiting.

It was easy for me, I was down to about 20% lung function and rushed into hospital. Asthma was diagnosed and a week in hospital on nebulisers.

I was told that if I didn’t quit I’d be dead within 10 years. That’s a good reason to quit.

        Cold turkey and no issues.

I now have lungs comparable to a semi professional athlete.

Flight Radar works just fine here, both the Android app and the website.

John, you don’t NEED a phone or other ‘home’ device, it’ll work on your Win 10 PC via IFTTT (if this then that)

Might be a bit of a learning curve though, not played with it for a while.

In  theory you can set it up so when you push print on your PC the WiFi socket switches on.

Sounds like you need a ‘smart’ power socket.

Lots of them out there, from basic infra-red remote (like a tv) to WiFi controlled ones.

Vodafone are joining the party. Prices are more than 3 and the cost depends on download speed. Hopefully it’s viable for me, ordered a free SIM to check what the coverage is actually like.

Virgin are trying to jack my bill up again so they can whistle. I tried to contact them yesterday for 3 hours, couldn’t get a response on the chat facility and the music when on hold makes calling a very painful and annoying business. So I’ve complained to them. Had enough, just want shot of them now.

Had a recall notice for my car in the post this morning. Apparently if you really slam the rear doors it can set the airbags off. I dread to think how hard you’d have to slam them for that to happen.

Called in Suzuki about an hour ago to get it booked in and they said they could do it there and then. 25 minutes later job done. I think the mechanics were glad of something to do, they were shuffling cars around on the forecourt when I got there. Living 2 minutes drive from the dealership can be very handy. ?

Boris, there are all kinds of business on there. Install the app, register and see what’s near by. If nothing un-install it.

You’ve lost nothing but might gain a lot of cheap grub.

Today I finally made it to Tinkinswood Burial Chamber.

The ‘walk’ across the field and back nearly killed me but it was worth it. Truly amazing place.

I have many more photos but for some reason it’s really difficult to post links today.

I’ll sort something out for the others.

Just gave the motor a clean, it’s really nice out there right now, hot but a very nice cool wind. Didn’t even break a sweat.

Now it’s very warm inside. ?

Came across a genius game today, Bridge Constructor Portal.

If you liked Portal you should like this, GLaDOS is as funny as ever and the game is brilliant.

At time of posting it’s £2.69 instead of £4.99.

Went for a drive about an hour ago. On the way out it was 30. On the way home, 21.

Clouds have arrived and it looks like it may chuck it down. Here’s hoping.

                                  John, give Plop a go.

It’s very handy for booting from USB on older systems.

I’ve just been out to the car to get the USB torch (used to be on my bike as the main front light) I keep there to give it a top up.

It’s meant to about 26-27 here but it feels like 30+. I admit I’m a wuss when it comes to heat, 15 is nice for me, anymore and I find it hard work.

The Asian bloke across the road was cleaning his car, he had a jumper and a gilet on!!!!!  ?

Coverage would be the big thing. ID and Smarty both run of 3.

I’m on Smarty with the small plan, I hardly ever get through 500mMB of data a month so the excess is credited against my next bill. That applies to all plans.  If the data use is minimal it should cost about £5 a month after the first month.

Check the small print on ‘unlimited’ texts and minutes, Smarty is truly unlimited calls and texts.

If Smarty is decided upon give me a nudge and I’ll supply a referral link, first month free and £10 Amazon voucher for the neighbour and a free month for me.

                                          Thanks Bob.

Used some new machines today and I’m in agony but I know that’s because the muscles/joints haven’t been used in that way for a very long time. Just waiting for my left shoulder to decide when it wants to pop back in 100%. It works fine, just feels a little weak and odd.

The right shoulder clicks/pops and gets out of kilter a lot but goes back in easier so overall is less of an issue, when the left one plays up it’s a proper pain.
