Bob, I get P.I.P.
Took over a year and 4 tribunals to finally get awarded it. I get the standard rate for care and mobility.
I didn’t qualify for the high rate of mobility because I can get around a bit on crutches. My last interrogation, sorry, assessment , was about a year ago before my fibromyalgia diagnosis. After taking advice from the good people at the Integrated Autism Service I decided to let the current award run it’s course as I don’t have the spare mental or physical energy to fight another long battle at the moment. I have until the second quarter of 2021 before another interrogation.
Had a voice mail message when I was in the gym, the tyres had arrived a fortnight early! Popped in this afternoon and now have 2 new tyres.
Les, give the Channel 4 app a go on the Android tablet. That may well be sufficient for what you want.
As for the Now Tv box, if you can use a TV remote then there’s very little to learn. The slight pain is using the remote to enter strings of text like passwords but that’s about it as far as I can remember.
You got off lightly Bob.
I have some sidewall damage to both front tyres, probably some of the many massive pot-holes around here are to blame. The Suzuki garage wanted £160 each, found a place closer to me that do them for £110 each.
Both places confirmed the damage isn’t dangerous but it’s a sooner rather than later type thing. Most annoying of all is there is about 5-6,000 miles of tread left on both. 2 weeks wait with the alternative garage, 5 weeks with the Suzuki dealer. 😕
I’m with Dave, get a cheap Android box and load it up with all the TV on demand apps.
Or a Now Tv box, same thing in result just a different way of getting there. I probably have a Now Tv box kicking around, not used one for years. If you’re interested It would be postage only, if I can find it.
Dave, I’d love to go to a match but my physical issues are a factor, not as much as they used to be though. Going to the gym 6 days a week has helped a lot.
At the moment it’s my autism and related issues that are holding me back. Not been to any rugby game for decades but it’s on my list of goals. The Integrated Autism Service has helped me achieve things I honestly wouldn’t have considered even contemplating before I went there.
I need to do a Cardiff match first, then a Blues match and so on.
I’ve literally just finished watching it.
I was in the gym when it was on live and annoying boring, real life stuff to do before I could watch it.
England just weren’t in it.
If you let SA play the way they want, they are almost unbeatable. Wales found that out last week, I’m amazed England didn’t learn from our defeat.
At least Wales got the Grand Slam this year……….. 😋
It does indeed look great for the money.
I can’t find any mention of 5G anywhere so I’m guessing it isn’t. That would be a massive bonus for the price.
I hope it’s good news.
Hope it was a good day for the pair of you.
Often the USB 3.0 ones are blue instead of white.
I’ll try and remember to have a look at mum’s tomorrow, probably have a load of updates to do first though. 🙄
If you and the Mrs are OK with the phones (and the phones are OK) then go SIM only.
How much data do you use though? Pointless paying out for unlimited data if you don’t use use huge amounts.
I’m fine on the Smarty £7.50 a month deal, if I suspect I’ll be waiting around I download a few Netflix episodes. I usually pay about £6.20 monthly.
Use public wifi for most things and also use a VPN. That’s what I do apart form really sensitive stuff like banking.
I lost the signal on my Smarty SIM earlier, quick reboot and it was back and solid again.
This week my brother and his 2 kids are visiting, last day tomorrow.
I’ve been very busy and very knackered since Monday. My nephew loves history and so today we went to Barry Island.
After the obligatory spend of to much change in the various arcades (he’s really good on the 2p shove coin machines) and I found an updated classic from my youth, Bejewelled. Touch screen affair now and I won enough tickets to get my nephew a decent size model concept Peugeot and a load of sweets.
Then after chips and ‘stuff’ it was off to this place. It’s incredible the amount of stuff they have crammed into a very small space. The artefacts range from a WW2 tail wheel of a Spitfire to a trench raiding ‘mace’. All done by volunteers. They are so welcoming and very knowledgeable. We dumped a lot of silver coins in the donation tins as it’s free.
If you are in the area, try and work it so you can visit it. We there there for over an hour and if I wasn’t so tired by then could probably have done another hour easily.
My nephew got togged up as a WW1 ‘Tommie’ and WW1 ‘Kraut’. Original gear apparently. Rifles and all. (Decommissioned OFFC)

Might be a little different depending on the Android version but that should help
Bob, my mother’s partner had a 75, either top spec or very nearly, almost certain it was a V6 but wouldn’t put money on it.
The thing is it had a BMW engine. Literally. Underneath the plastic shroud on top of the engine was a BMW logo but I can’t find any info on a petrol 75 with a BMW engine. 😕
My very light Suzuki Swift Sport will do 60 MPG. All day.
But you don’t buy a car like it to sit at 55 MPH on the motor way.
I get real world figures of 42-45 MPG. That’s a lot of urban faffing about and blasting down national speed limit lanes.
My old 2017 Swift SZ-T got 45-48 MPG in the same kind of driving. Not much difference and when legal I get places a hell of alot faster and with a bigger smile on my face. 😀
That sucks Bob.
Good on you and the SIL for fighting on his behalf.
