I managed to order some latex gloves from the nearest B and Q at about 4 am this morning, about 3 miles down a national speed limit dual carriageway.
A bit odd as they were on the first day of click and collect orders only and no physical contact at all between staff and customers.
Everything was done in the car park.
Once the staff got their heads around how it was going to work they were brilliant.

JCD, some of the dealerships near me are technically closed but they will do repairs/ MOT/ maintenance for people like NHS , Fire, Police, carers and the like.
Worth asking them.
Ed’s correct.
Just sitting around doing nothing makes doing stuff the next day even harder. Do something do get some exercise, no matter what it is.
I’m missing the exercise bikes in the gym so I’m doing press ups and sit ups instead.
Corona beer has almost literally lost all of it’s sales.
AB InBev (The group that owns it and loads of other beers) has lot a massive amount of profit recently.
Some people are just to thick to tell the difference between a beer and a virus.
Before my mate was forced to shut his skate shop he was sending out home made face masks, made from dishcloths, with the slogan ‘I didn’t survive the 90’s skate scene to be taken out by a light beer’ with every online order.
I went to Aldi this morning for some bits for mum and myself.
What a difference to before the lockdown notice.
Big board outside explaining the way the shop works now. Only 30 customers at a time, no more than 1 kid per adult, 2 meter distance at all times from everybody else and some others I can’t recall now. Grids all over the floors in 2 meter squares.
I had too tell 2 people to back off from me as they wanted what I was looking at, they soon moved. 😀
Shelves were well stocked compared to what they have been like.
That sucks Ryan.
Like JCD said squeeze is a ride from time to time for exercise.
Best of luck Bob.
Sounds like you might need some.
Dave, I’m waiting to see if I’m on the Welsh list, apparently it’s 70,000 odd people.
That doesn’t sound like much for the whole of Wales.
Had a bargain brand new TV delivered today, Mr dpd was very understanding, I didn’t open the door until he was back at the van, I checked the box and agreed with him that all was well.
The ‘signature’ was DOA and my surname. 😳
Today things were a bit better.
It could well be that the major supermarkets have cut their opening hours to allow more time for shelf stacking, better re-supply, or both.
It was noticeable that ASDA had a lot more staff on duty both on checkouts and wandering around watching people. Sadly no extra staff in the car park collecting trolleys or telling lazy feckwits without blue badges parking in disabled bays to bugger off!
The trolley size is a big issue for me, the small ones with lower handles work great, I can put my crutches in it and scoot around mostly supporting my body weight on it. The bigger, deep ones are a literal pain, have to half hobble and scoot. It gets very tiring, annoying and painful very quickly. Getting stuff out is another issue.

Lee and Bob, cracking tune.
I might not be able to walk without immense pain but I should be able to pull up/ push up/ dip my way out of trouble. 🤔
That looks pretty good to me Lee.
Cardiff Council shut pretty much all of it’s public facilities today. Schools follow on Friday.
Gym is closed as it is the last one run by the council.
My home gym stuff should arrive tomorrow.
So many people I know are small business owners, mostly less than 3 employees. They are collectively shitting themselves.
All I have to say for now is, satay safe, keep sane and I’ll ‘see’ on the other side.
Good luck to all of you and yours. ❤
I had one for years until it broke.
The manufacturers recipes are generally just a guide. Too many variables for it be exact.
Unless you can use the exact same flour and yeast, even salt, all the time it’s trial and error.
You will get a feel for what works eventually, just stick with it.
I used to really like the super dense brown bread, like a brick. One slice was about the same as 3 normal white sliced ones.
Cash is running low around here.
Mum and her fella are in isolation since yesterday, he developed a bit of a cough, nothing like the coranavirus one but they were all set so did it a bit early.
Mum likes cash so I got her a few £ yesterday.
Tried the same pair of machines today and nothing.
Tried another machine and nothing.
Managed to get some from Asda as cashback but not as much as I would have liked.
There’s a load on YouTube, the Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes are a good starting point.
Buster Crabbe, Flash Gordon is also epic.
Not yet.
I’m saving things for when I’m in almost lock down.

That should work, give it a while to sync though.
Lee, no bother it’s uploading now.
Les, I’ll upload it to my Google Drive overnight and give you a link tomorrow.
If I forget give me a nudge.
I spent many hours today re arranging my living room to gain some space for exercise equipment.
Not finished yet but freed up a lot of space.
It’s just a matter of time before the gym shuts or I stop going until this is all done with.
