Batteries that can be recharged in 5 minutes are now a thing. Needs a super high powered charger though.
It’s a step in the right direction though. Info
I’m now part of a survey conducted by ONS
It’s in conjunction with Oxford University. Many tests for Covid over the next few weeks and months. Up to a year.
I can quit at anytime.
Apparently I was sought out because of my physical health issues and my autism was an ‘Easter egg’
Can’t see any NDA so I’ll keep you updated, next test is due on Friday.
I had a letter today from my local health board. It gives some numbers about the amount of people that are ahead of me in the vaccination phases.
As suspected I’m in the fourth phase, about 430,000 to go, ignoring phase 1 which is allegedly complete. (1st injections).
So at the current rate of vaccination in Wales I might get an appointment in anywhere from 50-80 days.
I would recommended the Mi Mix 3 5G but it’s big. Brilliant value though.
Fair enough Ed, if it doesn’t work for you, so be it. Mine always go in the front right hand pocket.
Can’t stand anything in the rear pockets for more than a few minutes.
I always put good quality screen protectors on, tempered glass ones. Not cracked a screen yet, cracked about 2 screen protectors though but that’s what they’re there for.
When I could get out on my fatbike (many years ago now) I used to stick my phone in the pocket in my rucksack. it would often bounce out and ricochet of keys and the like in the same section of the rucksack. Never broke a screen.
Unless your willing to go back a few generations of phone small smartphones with good performance and cameras are thin on the ground.
6″ + screens are the norm now except on really budget phones.
Maybe you could try sticking the phone in your trouser pocket instead? My One Plus 8 Pro (6.78″ screen) fits easily in my Asda jeans.
Devastated to hear that terrible news.
I can only echo what Ed said, Bob is a natural fighter and I hope he can kick the Grim Reaper in the nuts if he comes calling.
Thanks to the Government’s early purchases of vaccine, and the work by the NHS and Public Health, the UK leads Europe in the numbers already vaccinated.
UK vaccinations 1.3 million Germany 0.3 million France <0.01 million Italy 0.2 million Netherlands ~nil (they want to use Oxford vaccine, but not yet approved in EU)That should really be the UK, except Wales. Both by sheer numbers and percentage of population we are doing badly compared to England. Percentage wise Scotland and Northern Ireland are mullering us.
Under the Welsh vaccination scheme I’m in phase 4 due to being ‘extremely vulnerable’ (used to be in the shielding group). This means I’m in the same phase as my mum.
Thanks for that Dave.
I’ll bag one soon.
Thanks Dave. Much appreciated.
I did see that seller but the 0 feedback put me off.
I’ll wait until he gets his new laptop then go from there.
That sucks.
Thanks for the update Dave.
Please wish Bob all my best wishes for all the stuff that’s going on with him.
Happy New Year to everyone, and I hope your Court Hearing goes well Lee.
What he said.
Take care all.
It’s more than likely a scam John.
Is it from PayPal? Lots of the scammers spoof headers in emails and when you click on ‘show details’ (depends on your email provider) you get something like minjjjghju@scamminggit.com
If your not sure just log into PayPal and see if you have any notifications there.
best of luck to all of you for the new year, I hope it gets better sooner rather than later but I’m not holding my breath. If I can see my brother and his kids for his big birthday in the second half of next year I’ll take that as a win.
For those not having such a merry Christmas, hang tough. Things will get better.
Stay safe all. :bye:
Wales is also in tier 4 from midnight.
It’s a right pain in the arse but I can (under the Welsh rules) at least go and see my mum and her fella as I’m single and they are my support ‘bubble’ . No one else has been in their house for many months and they are staying withing the property boundaries as of now.
Also Christmas can still happen but on a much reduced scale.
I do feel for those that planned for the rules as they were, only to have that all ruined.
What really hurts me and mum is it’s almost a year since we saw my brother and his kids. That’s a long time when they are both still young enough to want to do things with you and not want to sit in a bedroom watching Netflix/YouTube/ whatever. 🙁 😥
Have a great day JCD
That’s genius, nice find.
My Memory are in the Channel Islands so it might be different form UK mainland.
I’d be inclined to boot a Linux live session, something like the latest Mint or Ubuntu, loads of disk management tools available for Linux.
Appointment with the consultant today.
Good news is my shoulders are not showing any real signs of arthritis but it looks like it’s starting.
Bad news is that means it’s muscular, so another scan booked for whenever.
Right hip is ruined but not hip-replacement ruined. Surgeon reckons hip salvage will work, according to the letter he sent the consultant.
Still waiting for a date for the pelvis MRI and surgeon appointment. Consultant said ‘don’t hold your breath’
