Any kind of medication does nothing for the pain, tried some opiate based ones as a last resort and they did nothing.
Even a direct injection of anesthetic into the joint did nothing.
In all honesty I’d rather the pain instead of taking pills so in a odd way I’m quite glad they don’t work.
:good:
Thanks for the good wishes.
TBH as long as I can cycle I’m okay.
I’ve not liked walking for years, lots of injuries when younger started to take a toll but I could do it without huge amounts of pain, which was very handy and I was very grateful, especially as I could have lost my ankle due to a very bad break.
It is what it is and there are people way worse of than me.
Hope the mrs gets sorted.
I understand completely.
It’s good to have other interests. If I’m not nerding out with computers or phones I’m on my bike/s or tinkering with them.
My gasser Mini R/C car hasn’t moved in months due to my pain while walking.
Speaking of which, I got the first Back to the future car model mag the other week. Thought I would get the first issue for a couple of quid and see how much they go upto. £8.98 per week x 130 issues. It had better time travel for that price.
That’s such a con.
You could buy a half decent real car for the total of that if your not to fussy.
I got linuxuser I think it is, but at nearly £8 a pop I did not rate it.
I’m not surprised! That’s almost as bad as being gouged for £18 for 2 kids mags when my niece and nephew were here last, one HotWheels and the other a Disney thing. I literally almost cried. 🙁
I was telling mum about these yesterday, one turned up today while I was over there. No adapter though…..
Tried a few places on the way home, nobody does them. Have to hit Ikea first thing in the morning, well, for them it’s first thing, 10am. 2 for a £.
Hopefully get to have a play on Saturday.
I also cancelled Computer Shopper, I found it boring.
Luckily I had the 3 issues for a £ trial. 1 issue was enough.
I might have a look at the mags in Asda next time I’m there and see if there’s any thing which takes my fancy.
Dave, there’s a donate button towards the bottom of each page, a PayPal one.
It’s a call only you can make.
No matter what advice you get, it’s your choice. Good luck with what ever you decide.
Over Plywood, mentioned in the link popped up in my instagram feed earlier today, my mate who runs a skateshop in Newport is great mates with the guy behind it.
Also spent lots of time at Royal Oak (Meanwhile 2), South Bank and the Shell Centre.
As well as anywhere else I could afford to get to.
Romford!
Lovely old skatepark there.
Spent many a day with people from all over the country in it.
Might be about for a little while, have to be up at daft o’clock tomorrow though. :negative:
I’ve approved it on MM.
It’s a cliche but happiness is way more important than money.
You’re young enough to change now.
I’d say go for it. Only one way to find out if you like it. At least you have something to fall back on.
Understandable.
A Bluetooth one might be feasible for my place, not for my mums where I really want a couple so when they are away I can control the lights without being there.
Would save me a few trips a week.
I might pull the trigger on a wifi one on the weekend.
Just had a look at the ebay one, it says it’s bluetooth controlled and no need for wifi.
It could be a badly written description or a clone.
I was going to pull the trigger, more searching needed.
I really like these kind of bulbs, potentially very handy.
I’d need adapters (bayonet to screw) for the locations I’m thinking off and £20 a bulb gets expensive very quickly.
They cheated!
They had milk.
Flaming yanks….
