<p style=”text-align: left;”>No idea about that particular application but test a headset throughly before you buy.

Or at least get a good return policy.I feel really ill very quickly using VR or FPV headsets.
Good luck with it anyway.
Still works here.
Just been busy and exhausted.
Look at all the issues with Tesla and their self driving tech. It’s not very good in actuality.
My car has ‘phantom braked’ on me a couple of times. That is the systems thought I was going to hit something and jammed the brakes on when there was no danger.
Been doing some more digging and looking at the MG4, purely because I could get the top of the range one potentially and it’s meant to be a very fun car, the winter motorway range is about 150 – 160 miles.
Which means I’d have to charge at least once on the way up and the way back from my girlfriends place. And at least twice when I’m there, once because of running around and once ready to come back home.
Then there’s the cost of public rapid chargers. Around 69p a kWh.
Nearest rapid charger to my girlfriends place is about 1.5 miles away at a very dreary but clean services. I’d have to spend a fair bit of time there over the course of a long weekend and I don’t have enough time with her as things are.
My Puma I fill up once before I leave and once before I come home.
If there Motability could arrange something with the supplying dealer that I could park my (for example) MG4 up at the dealership, pay a small fee and take a hybrid vehicle away when I go to see my GF, I’d have an EV.
As it stands right now the cost of public chargers, the winter motorway mileage and the poor infrastructure makes a full EV highly unlikely for my next car.
Ed, the chargers around here are mainly fairly slow ones.
The ones that work, that is.
Motorway charging is, from what I’ve seen at the services, at best hit and miss. Frequently lots of people waiting to charge.
It’s a shame because when I’m home a EV would mostly work, I could have a 11kw charger installed at mum’s place and there are some brilliant EVs available on the Motability scheme for up front payments I could afford.
I’d love to go full electric for my next Motability car, need to order roughly December for March odd delivery (in theory).
I now do anywhere from 400 to 600 miles on a long weekend to see my girlfriend. Which is on average every 3-4 weeks
Can’t charge at home, can’t charge at her place. From all the actual, real world range tests I’ve seen the motorway speed, cold weather range drops off a cliff for full EVs.
I despise motorway services, even the well looked after ones.
My Puma has done over 450 miles on almost a full tank of petrol, I don’t hang about but I don’t drive like a lunatic either.
25 months and over 30,000 miles so far and I still love this car.
Only had minor problems, bad luck or daft passengers were the cause in all cases.
Had to have another 2 new tyres because of slow punctures.
One caused by a pothole and another caused by wire, possibly from a lorry blowout.
The fuse panel cover in the passenger footwell was removed by my brother and his clumsy feet. 10 minutes and some new plastic clips and the local Ford dealer fixed it.
I love the way you can throw it down a backroad, park easily, get loads in the boot and cruise at motorway speeds with power to spare. The seat massage has been amazing on my sometimes 5 or more hours one way trips into England. Being stuck in traffic on the M25 is a bit more bearable knowing that my back won’t be in bits when I get out.

Been trying to play the recent ish Doom.

I’m not good with shooters and thumb sticks.

In about an hour I wasn’t dying so much.

Still need more practice but the game plays amazing.
Hope the next year is a great one for everyone.
Sometimes life kicks you hard. I’ve had a lot of crap over the years but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Richard, sorry to hear about your wife.
RSB, onwards and upwards.
❤️
Whatever your race/religion /sexuality or anything else, just have a good time!
Don’t get too fat or drunk!
Glad you are happy with it.
Just something to be aware of, some games that Valve have marked as not compatible with the Steam Deck do work fine. Probably due to the updates that have been done.
Obviously check before buying any games specifically for the Steam Deck but if you they are owned anyway you might as well install them to see first hand.
Ed, unfortunately turmeric also causes issues.
On the upside I was recently put onto Lactase Enzyme capsules. Means I can eat cheese without being worried about proximity to a toilet! Milk and cream is still off limits, oddly, but I was never a huge fan of them anyway.
Looking good!
Unfortunately hot chillies are on the ever expanding list of foods that are off limits to me because of my damaged stomach. Gutted as I had just got the taste for them after having Covid.
3rd party docks are reasonable. Paid £30 for mine.

It’s possible to upgrade the thumbsticks as well.
One thing I forgot to mention is a Bluetooth keyboard with a track pad is very handy, even if it’s just a cheap tiny one. Mainly for the games that require text input and aren’t fully compatible with the Steam Deck.
No problem.
If you want any more info let me know.
Forgot, the top ones get faster NVME drives.
Depends which one.
The 64gb is essentially a SD card for a hard drive. 256 is a proper NVME.
It’s apparently easy to upgrade the storage, looks like minimal tinkering involved.
It has a micro SD slot so if you get the right SD, not such an issue.
Top models get a better case and anti glare screen.
I’ve now got a cheap dock, just for FPS games.
Works really well.
Chrome blocked access, it’s flagged as a phising site.
Probably won’t last long.
That’s really interesting and could really take off soon.
So many people are hacked of with Musk era Twitter already.
