“Would you be related to oor mad wee pet Sassenach?”

lol not heard that word in a while. Pit village nr mansfield was that not every village till maggie used her axe? 🙁  I lived in various places around Mansfield but mostely grew up in Lambley nr. Calverton Aberdeen is a bit too far north for me and they speak a funny language! I had a navy friend moved up their when he left the mob, he’s now out of work thanks to the opec oil dance! some nice driving though up that way

For me, I use an MS Comfort Curve 3000 wired keyboard old but works fine and does what I need it to USB connector, though! for the other rig its an Advent K112 again USB but nice clunky keys, I Like clunky!  Mice, I prefer wireless and the cheaper the better as I seem to go through them!  The Logitec M185 is my preferred choice with a decent size and good battery life though in gaming scenarios it is sometimes a little slow.

I grew up in Nottingham and know most of the coast along there, Skeggy has always been a fav, but I just love the flatness of it, and watching the RAF do their thing. North Ayrshire is not known for being flat or dry, and as for a sunny winter’s day :negative:

Ah, the joys of a rural public transport service.

            I blame Beeching

I love Skeggy if I could move there, I would! I’m not rural enough to have to endure the public service fallout and living 500m from a railway stn doesn’t help either!

Sorry, I should have written that better it was his wife’s mobility car, but she passed, he was the named driver as she couldn’t.  Hence after it went back he had to get a car and ins by himself.

I suspect that M$ have realized that more people are upgrading less and using eBay/Linux. This will ultimately result in M$ losing money as people are not buying their products thus keeping prices higher.  As long as M$’s profits fall prices will be kept artificially high. As others have said buy a key of eBay.

Spoke to a friend who left the scheme last year, they (RSA) gave him a letter stating that during his time with them he had no previous claims with them.

None of the major insurers would accept it as it wasn’t recognized proof of no claims, https://www.adrianflux.co.uk/, however, told him that RSA is campaigning for the letter to be recognized.

I got a reminder from the DVLA so I suspect provided your address is correct, anyone caught in this scenario gets one too.  Incidentally, you can do it over the counter at you local Post Office if you still have one and it can do check and send.

As for insurance, RSA Mobility have told me there is no way of taking no claims bonus from a Motorbility Car to another car if I choose to buy one meaing that if I loose this car I’ll have to start over too and I’ve not left the country 🙁

I’ve used true caller for 3-4 years now, though everyone knew about it!  It really is great, blocking number identification and loads of other stuff under the hood like missed call and a for of call back if the other user is engaged.  True messenger is good to finally get stops/separates all those stupid spam PPI texts too.

fresh look, and no longer tied to the magazine might keep this forum going, I seem to remember a lot of stuff in the MM forum became stagnant because we’d seen and read it and it.

p4 at 9.5 was one of the best this forum seems to have a wider spread already with wireless lights and mountain bikes which may well have been there on the MM forum but you don’t tend to go to a computer forum for advice on a mountain bike.

I haven’t played with the fire sticks as I have had mixed reviews about their reliability but expect to pay £35-45 for one that would work out the box, if its asking for money it’s probably not working.  My android box works fine on wifi, my neighbours(different make) will only communicate via lan, though it does have wi-fi.  I have one of  these battery life is poor but works fine other than that. I’d second blacklions comment reset and fresh install, all the instructions are on the net

Personally,  I have never subscribed to Sky Sports – and I never will. During normal TV programming, I have no real issue with adverts. If however, I was to pay for a specific service F1 or football for which the subscription rates are a: high and b: for an exclusive service I would want no adverts. Much the same as my issue with trailers on DVD’s I did not want or choose the trailers so why are they there??

We do however get off quite lightly with adverts compared to Canada and America, over there they pay subscriptions fees and can regularly expect 6 advert breaks in a 1 hour show.

I have stopped subscribing to sky in the last year and now get my content from either the free on demand services and via amazon and now TV.  ITV, C4 and 5 still bombard me with adverts whilst the BBC, Amazon and Now put ads at the start.  Though I do get the need for advertising on ITV, C4 and 5.

That said coverage of F1 has been going down hill since Murray left, the only reason skys coverage got as good as it did was because it was dragged from the analogue age into the digital age over night.  Hopefully with Bernie gone the sport can amend its self and heal some of the scars caused by the damage he did to the sport. At the end of the day though its a sport that requires millions of pounds to keep the fairground moving and if the money does not come from advertising where will it come from.

                                  Cheers Knight,

Just attempted an order to collect from Screwfix. Got to the checkout, entered card details & was about to press the confirm button when I noticed that on collection the card has to be presented at the counter & the PIN number entered. That means I can’t get anyone else to collect my order … so they lost the sale & I ordered from an Ebay seller instead.

Never been asked for the card, the most they’ve ever asked for was to see a copy of the email on my phone as they could not find the order! that said might be a little more secure at your local Screwfix

                                        Moderator Mode!

This thread was a discussion about Trumps Inauguration, it does, however, now contain points of interest that are the opinion of the writer and not necessarily statements of absolute fact.

There is no post by Steve say he dislikes all women leaders, however, there is an indication that he either does not like Hillary or the democrats. This is his opinion.  I do not believe that Richards comments were a direct attack on Steve, however when coupled with all the comments on this thread, it’s easy to see that Steve could believe it was a direct attack on him.

I’d ask you both to agree to disagree and move on with sensible posts about the subject and not continue the previous posts. :good:

I suppose it depends on the cut-off time for next day and the location of what you want.  If your order is processed before the cut-off time I see no reason why the would not attempt it especially if you’re a prime customer.  Believe it or not, it’s not economical to hold stock longer than necessary.

                                            Trump Bashing! Isn’t it fun?

I personally believe anyone can read into a speech and make of it what they want too.  Those however who thought that even someone like Trump would write a speech that, without having proofread by diplomats and lawyers are fooling themselves.  Whether you like it or not he is an astute businessman who in all likelihood will make America great again.

The key issue in this thread appears to be that he said in his speech “We will reinforce old alliances and form new ones, and unite the world against radical Islamic terrorism which we will eradicate from the face of the earth.”

He did not wage war against Islam, just as the British in Ireland did not wage war against Catholicism.  He did, however, wage war on Terrorism.  In fact Trump’s entire speech appears to revolve around America and Americans, lately, it seems that any UK politician talks about Europe and Europeans, just not Britain and the British.

Is he going to be sandboxed? I hope not the world right now needs him, not for what he may or may not do, but for what he will forces other US political party’s to do, what he will force other countries to do.

Yes, he has a past, yes it’s not that great. Everyone has a past and mine is not great either! However his past is mostly successful, you don’t get a business background like his overnight. he is now in a position to do what Obama did not want to and unite America.

                                            Cheers Knight,
