Only once (today) have I used the the New Topic from the above drop down menu and didn’t see the drop down below text editor above submit, I went straight to submit.

Lee I am not a member of the everbody

As a rule I use the forum index, go down to the forum I wish to use (ie other stuff) click on it go down to the text editor text it then submit. It is in the forum I wanted as I chose it in the first place.

I will remember not to use Forum drop down for New Topic and stick to the Forum Index

I see what you mean, you seem to have to start again as you need to enter who your sending message to.

I think I have picked up on using twitter, all my replies are live so I deleted the bit on my info.

RSB I have used it for many a vdeo and find it pretty good (for analogue) not much good for converted digital, but then that’s most likely the converter.

Here’s one I took off my dads video last year using the above, see what you think.

There is also lots more off the same video and others. not public.

re lookin you shouldn’t need a converter

I have a video player and a Scart socket for L audio, R audio and video out which then goes to a USB analogue to digital convertor.

Just plug the Scart-Phono leads in, unless it is a digital VCR?

I use this this

It includes drivers and Arcsoft Showbiz

Once it’s captured you produce (into various formats, including direct to DVD.

I have not tried direct to DVD, I usually create file, save in mpeg and convert with DVD Flick as blacklion suggests. I use mpeg so I can edit cut join with another program, you can’t edit DVD, then burn to DVD

It’s great for analogue devices not so good from digital, but maybe a little pricey for a one off.

It’s no trouble to send yourself an email (now and again) and reply then it’s active.

That’s what I do.

I expected AOL to de activate when I left, I don’t use it, 5 years on it’s still active.

I have used it to charge my phone (from 88% to 100%) just to try it. Not sos sure from 00% I can’t afford to over heat my phone, I think I’ll stick to the wall charger.
