I use this to capture from the VCR (analogue) to the USB device the capture software (Arcsoft Showbiz) comes with it. You install Showbiz open it up and play your Video select Capture, once the video is finished you select (in Showbiz) Produce many options to go for DVD mpeg etc. I use mpeg. Once it produced I use Nero 10 to create a DVD then burn. At times I use DVD flick to create DVD

You need the software that comes with the device as does Video to PC.

I used use ATI AIW since Windows 10 I had to go USB, even with ATI you could get your pants torn off.

The more processor and ram the better the quality.

IE I used to use 8mb ATI AIWand the quality was pants on a single core CPU with Windows ME 1GG ram. Eventually I upgraded to a 256mb with XP and a ATI AIW and it was great.

With USB it doesn’t seem to be reliant on the capture device as more your rig specs.

Hence I use the video to PC on duel cores 4gb ram now I use quad core and 8gb ram with Windows 10 and never looked back.

The better the CPU & Ram the better the result. In the older days with ATI the sound track was always slightly out of sinc.

You may get slight tracking problem at the bottom of the picture, but that’s the VCR.

I haven’t captured lately so the above is best to my memory, It also depends on the quality of your video tape and VCR.

I think I put one in the other thread but here it is

        Cheers

When I started this thread I was using Virgin BB. I am now using Sky’s free BB and the submit time is still slow.

People younger than 60 aren’t eligible for the FOB screening test,
I have to go to a NHS bowel cancer screening centre.

I have always felt embarrassed as I walk like charlie (without crutches) mainly down hill, crutches also stop this.

My balance can go at any time anywhere for no reason. Since my accident (brain damage) Paralysis down my left side. I still can’t write properly as I am keft handed.

            Cheers

              Thanks Richard

I had a brain Injury (after falling 50ft down a partly finished lift shaft)
I was on life support, the doctors wanted to turn it off, I am still here.

Cheers Duke, You don’t realize how common it can be.

              Thanks Bob

It’s my back/leg the first time I put it off I can’t lie down long enough on my back, it
being important (as you say) I had another appointment, it was the day of the worst snow
and I couldn’t get there on my crutches.

I did ask for March feeling the snow won’t be around, but then it has snowed in April,
I have to contact agin nearer March

I could do with a special pack, but I wasn’t offered one.

              Cheers

                Good luck

I keep putting off (due to medical reasons) my bowel screening test.

My concern at the moment, my partner has breast cancer, had an op just before xmas. She has a meeting tomorrow to see what happens next.

It’s in order of chemotherapy – Radiotherapy – Chemo Tablets.

Good news is the op went well and she has a plan.

Bad news people keep talking about the bad things of the above and this upsets her. I say everybody is different and react in different ways.

                Edit:

I was going to mention this last year as I didn’t have anyone I could talk to. In the end I thought it possibly wasn’t the right think to use the forum for.

                Cheers

                    Thanks All

Great stuff with Tesco I will look to see if I can setup opt to have no substitutions, or just refuse it.

My search came back with Iceland and Morrisons, but also did Tesco. I will contact them to see if they actually have it in stock.

Ed I have previously emailed the same as your link, they say we’ll get back to you, not got back to me yet.

Talking about MM I had a probe it’s well and truly gone, even the redirect to here.

I just hope it starts arriving one day, otherwise I have a battle on my hands.

                            Thanks Ed, I phoned.

This is the trouble these days contacting by phone.

High volume of calls long wait time or try calling us back.
I continued to hold for 10  mins but can’t afford to wait any longer.

I guess I am just going to have to hope I get my mag in the next 2 weeks.

                            Cheers

I will add my splitter wouldn’t work, well it did, but then it didn’t I need a permanent did.

Thanks Dave, I look forward to receiving it to give me a did.

The other is not yet despatched, I have had to contact the seller to try and cancel.

I could try Argos but knowing me I would still get it wrong.

I note the netgear is for prime users, I have sent you a PM

From what you say tarmac is not a good substitute, the MOT was applied in stages to allow for dips and top ups. It was December 23rd by the time the leak was fixed. I was told the tarmac was temp as they were busy and nearly xmas.

The waterboard came round this morning and took photo’s of the tarmac filled hole?

The second Tuesday of the month or slightly just after is the norm so I manually check, update and carry on as per.

I did have an odd cumulative update last week outside the norm, so it can be a pain.

Probably down to Twitter – big companies take Social Media very seriously these days.

I do feel it, after all the trouble I had upto now.

Nice one thanks all for the help and thanks ricedg for pointing me to twitter.

I thanked AA help (twitter) and they have replied glad it’s sorted.

                                            It sounds like

If you found it out  it could be set to a previous admin on your old PC / Windows

that you last used it on. So you will never get it to work on your new setup.

I did read in your other thread, but can’t remember if you have a TV card it could fail it can;t find the type it looks for.
