Thanks all I should have asked before, I have the cleaning stuff and needed a box.

The bag would have done, if only I asked before.

That’s a good box JayCee and it could be used for other purposes.

I really appreciate the advice offered and glad I asked.

      Cheers

Not sure on the weather (apart from the news and on here) I haven’t opened my curtains yet, maybe tomorrow.

I have run out of milk, shame the council vehicle hasn’t been.

PM you have a better council than me and I have blue badges.

        Cheers

It’s been snowing on/off all day furious, but didn’t last long, freaky.

We had a new weather warning for Friday 6am non stop till Saturday afternoon, and bad freezes for March.

The snow we had today I don’t think I have seen it like that before, was neither hear nor there.

I have always thought, let me say it’s been -2 Celius today if we were still in fahrenheitit it would be 28.4 that’s not freezing. In the days of fahrenheitit and it was below freezing, you knew about it.

            Cheers

I cannot think of a suitable comment to add.

Careless, inconsiderate, dangerous, what a plonka, I wonder if he got the fare home.

In the end I submitted stateing on the application of the problem, no quible and I recieved my passport.

I was told (as in previous post)

I don’t need countersignature, I was to send 2 photos (no sig on back required). Put a letter in explaining, with my application ref number. Send to the Liverpool office and I should then be issued with the passport.

So I did this and was awaiting another passport.

Today I had a phone call off HMPO, some of the above information is incorrect.

It should have gone to Durham with the application form I first had on re applying. However I don’t need it countersigning.

Advice – don’t make an error on your new passport, it’s a nightmare.

But then maybe it’s just me and advice is not needed.

                  Cheers

It kept telling me it couldn’t find the outline of my head, brush your hair back.

I have no hair, ? I tried other photos. In the end I stated on the application, I was bald.

They must have accepted it in the end.

It was like that with my application (it said 3 weeks) I had it within a week.

When you get it don’t error with the signature, or then the problem starts.

It has now cost me £150 + post, got to pay it back now.

                      Cheers

It seems Wales felt the brunt of it.

Jukebox if you felt it in Solhull, you were lucky, not a million miles away and I didn’t feel it.

Maybe I was driving over a speed hump at the time.

                          I telephone HMPO

They said I don’t need countersignature, I was to send 2 photos (no sig on back required). Put a letter in explaining, with my application ref number. Send to the Liverpool office and I should then be issued with the passport.

I only wish they would tell this to the Computer / online email /online applications.

When I phone for a takeaway (delivery), she knows where I live without me saying.

I need to collect prescriptions this week I could ask the pharmacist.

First though I have been advised by HMPO to telephone them.

“Due to the nature of this issue you will need to ring the passport Adviceline.”

Thanks for the links Ed & Richard

It’s the part that they must have known me (personaly) for at least 2 years.

I spoke to my local MP a couple of years ago, but he doesn’t know me personaly.

My local pharmasist sometimes smiles at me, but she doesn’t know me personaly.

I know a fireman who knows me personaly, bit isn’t an officer.

My teachers probably no longer work at the school I went to 38 years ago.

I know a nurse but not an RGN or RMN

I once met a Justice Of the peace.

My mate was a copper, but no more.

I use boots opticions for a few years, but only talk about glasses.

I have banked with the same for over 20 years, I couldn’t say who is the manager.

My dad worked for an insurance agency, can’t use family, he no loger alive.

There is a salvation army down town, I once popped in for a cuppa.

I once had my name in the paper, but don’t know the journalist.

I used a dentis a couple of years ago, he no longer work there.

                                I don’t drink so I don’t know a licansee.

I might meet a funeral director one day.

I use the same post office each time I always say hello.

I have flown but never met the pilot.

I had a letter off a councillor the other day with my name on, she must know me I never told her my name.

I once knew a social worker.

                                And so on.

While searching I did come across something that said a friend could sign as long as they have a valid passport, can’t now find it.

                                Cheers

Sadly I can’t use it, it’s classed as a renewal and you have to re apply.

I think it’s crazy, I need to have it countersigned,  I have a photo on a UK valid passport started last week for 10 years, but due to my signature (damaged) mistake I have to start again. the countersigner has to be a politician, RGN Nurse, baylif, fire officer, policeman etc who knows me personally for the past 2 years. I know a fireman (not officer) I know a policeman but don’t know where he is not sure if he still in the police. You can no longer use your doctor unless (he/she) is a personal freind for last 2 years.

                                  Cheers

                                    It gets worse

I applied for a renewal (on the basis of my mistake) having to pay again (loan)

Thinking I was filling in an online application, at the end I had to DL and print my application.

It’s like first applying, I need to send photo’s witnessed / countersigned by a  qualified person who has known me personaly for at least 2 years.

I don’t know anyone. So that’s another mistake.

                                    Cheers

                                      Thanks Dwynne fair point

Thanks Richard it was almost perfect but maybe not on the stroke you can see a black and a faint green.
Which as you say may not be noticed ie in Heathrow, but would I get back from?
And thenthey do run under lights to check (I think)

It is regratable that the green sig wasn’t left green.

As you say Ed it could depend on the country visiting when brexit is thought.

Bob Ihave a goverment gateway, the problem with online, the photo I used kept saying we can not find the outline of your head.
Try brushing your hair back, I am bald. In the end I stated this on the application and it was accepted.

Thanks all for the input, maybe too risky on this passport. I can’t get over what I did and wished I left it green.
