I am nearly giving up and put it all in the box/s. I fetched the mobo box out (ready to pack) and changed my mind for now.

I am clueless

When I search PCI_E1 it throws up some like when I click the link it doesn’t state as PCI_E1, could it be E3 (further down)

I don’t want to get the wrong type which is 6 years old.

I can’t get into the bios nothing is working other than the fans and a light on mobo, not even any beeps.

I was thinking could it be lack of power to the CPU the PSU only has 4 pins so I purchased this

maybe it needs a PSU with 8 pin plig?

I had a tex off Royal Mail (this morning) Ram expected Wed 08/09/21 1415-1615.

Worry is my middle name.

The manual shows the eight holes I have used (before looking at manual).

It’s coming together slowly I just need ram, CCL had none in stock so I waiting for some direct from Kingston.

I did get another Windows 10 Product key (from your link in the other thread) just to be safe/sure.

I am unsure about using extra fans, maybe not.

My main concern, although I have put a few mobos in a case. One time The board went as soon as powered up. I didn’t notice till to late I had put the board on a socket that wasn’level with any holes, I think it shorted.

I have counted 8 sockets and 8 holes, put in 8 screws, I am gonna get a multi meter on (test for leaks, before I power up.

Also the holes in the mobo 5 have dots round and 3 seem to only have half dots round so I am uncertain if they are fixing points.

They look like solder so I am not sure, what you think before I power up.

I am taking my time, my biggest fear is the mobo to case fixing points, I keep checking and counting.

My case has a 2 vents on the side one is 80mm I have a fan. The other is 110mm no fan and I can’t find 110mm only 120mm but I don’t think that will match with the holes in the case.

Once I get the money back I will re visit the ram link (above) with CCL. However I had to request an amendmant to cancel part of an order So the order is now on hold. I fear the oher parts (from CCL will take longer?)

I never thought it might not fit the case I have? will need to see.

I went for the one without the F with VGA, HDMI and DVI. It’s this that you suggested WiFi

I am getting confused

I will be honest I thought it saying VGA means onboard, I will have to see

Biggest problem I ordered some ram (as you suggested) to find they have none now I got to wait for a refund before I can look else where.
