I heard that when I once went to see Jim in Brum, Reading your post still made me laugh though.

I once had a cassete Tape and listened often in the car.

        Windows 10 cumulative update KB4090913 and KB4088785

Downloads, await restart, on restart it’s not installing. Then checking installed updates, it says failed to install. It downloads again and goes through the above.

It’s become a viscious circle, how can I stop it, it’s eating my bandwidth.

It says it’s for creators edition 1709 I have that version.

        Cheers

Lee I had a peep at corrie only to find Pat is still in.

I do record and watch (when on my own) a lot on National Geo. crime Investigation etc. 24hrs in Police Custody. I got fed up of Motorway Police – Police Interceptors, it’s more what the coppers had for breakfast that day.

although East Enders may be pushing it in my humble opinion ?

That’s one we gave up on years ago, this year we gave up on Coronation Street, now considering giving up on Emmerdale. Not much left to talk about. We watch the ossy ones.

I say we as I have no choice I only have 1 TV.

Ed thanks for the insrtructions on truecrypt, I followed it, set one up, when I try to open it (to put files in) it asks me what to use to open it (paint – notepad etc) I created 3 all the same results.

Wasbit I tried a few I am treading dangerously on the links, also a lot are for XP. It’s much appretiated, I may go through some more laters.

I installed truecrypt and it seemed to be bitlocker, that is for drives. I only want to lock folders.

I am using the one jukebox suggested, that seems to do the trick.

If I am missing something in truecrypt for folder locking, then please tell me.

                      Cheers

Drehza I did try bitlocker, as you say it’s just the drive, I will try Cryptomater.

Edit: it says for cloud files, I don’t cloud.

Edit: Edit: It’s installed I open it all I can do is add vault, but when I click on + nothing happens.

Maybe it won’t work without cloud?

                        Cheers

You found the right setting John ?

True, at least I found it as CeCe Peniston said.

I did look Graham, couldn’t see halt, but then I could have missed it with all the excitement, after finding keyboardless (option).

I don’t know about picky Ed, I must be though it should of been KVM, KVE are pork scratchings. I wouldn’t get a keyboard to work through a bag of scratchings.

It’s my memory, half the time I forget what I have come on here for.

With thanks to nudging me into the bios.

I found legacy enabled, couldn’t find halt, but did find (in advanced)

Something like Keyboardless (if enabled it stops error on post)

I enabled it and it now boots straight in without the error (I have faced for years) and I can use the keyboard on post even after a warm start (Windows update restart)

I have been in the bios many a time, yet never seen this option before.

                                  Well it’s sorted at last.

                                  Cheers

I will give your suggestions a go, I recall trying all the above in 2016-17 to no avail.

The worst thing is, the mouse works no problem and it’s USB from a KVE sharing the same output as the Keyboard.

As you say it works from a cold start, I start it (OK) in the morn, then shut down and re start and shut down, from warm starts, even when I do restarts after Windows updates etc. That’s the problem and reason for a PS2, just to fox the Lenovo. In 2016 I even sent one back under warranty and they changed the motherboard, it still happened. Over the years I have concluded the only way is to fox it and give it what it wants (PS2 Keyboard)

                                    Cheers

sos for DP (I can’t edit last post)

Another reason for PS2, I can’t get into the bios (to change halt) as it doesn’t find the keyboard, so I can’t press delete (F11- F1?) on boot. Only on first boot after power on.

                                      Cheers

I managed to sort out Jukebox link and folder locker.

I have tried and tested several times but will keep an unlocked version in a drawer, just incase.

Thanks Jukebox, I already tried that one, after completing nothing happened. I will give it another go.

Thanks Alan Steganos Safe seems a little pricey.

Thanks Duke I searched TrueCrypt, it led me to bitlocker, I locked the drive, yet it never asks for a password and just opens as per?

perhaps the rig needs re starting? I will see.
