Duke I never considered that, I hope mine stores at least 3. The headphones are cheapos (considering what you could pay) off ebay.

That was something ignored, infact I only looked at the price and style (nothing else)

At least I will know why if they don’t store the 3.

      Cheers

Sorry for the confusion I am buying a transmitter (see first post)for the TV.

It was how the CSR 4.0 dongle works, Tippon and Duke said about syncing.

You have to look hard even to find a TV with a jack and then it’s only by sight.

Duke at the present time I use a wired extension to the headphones (from the TV) it is muted when I plugin  the jack. With the transmitter on my first post, this has a jack that plugs in the same, so the TV mutes.

The reason for the CSR question, is I am thinking, already having that in both rigs, I can use my wireless headphones on both PCs (which ever I am using for sound) and the TV.

At the moment I have a wired pair of headphones for the TV and a wired pair for the PC/s

It’ll be cool I can put the headphones on listen to TV, listen or to PC 1 or PC2 and even shut her out.

So that’s 4 purposes from one set of headphones.

        Cheers
        John

Thanks for the info Bob, I didn’t know.

I am talking cover image not profile photo. If you go to the top left (the little man) it highlights profile. Cover image is in there and it showed my rig specs.

                Thanks blacklion

I think I get your gist, thinkinking about it the diddy ones use to power with a coupler with the PC power cable.

It is only for the PC, maybe I can search for base speakers with a power supply? or to an amp (powerd by it’s own source)

I always thought (like the headphones) the PC powered them from the Audio OUT socket on the PC.

On installing Windows 10 I am sure it asks if you want to upgrade this PC? (not sure if the offer works on 7-8.1)

If so then buying a licence off ebay is as good as free (or don’t they no longer sell on ebay)

In that, the free upgrade is still available.

Never used the upgrade option on install, the logic seems possible?

Edit: Maybe I am wrong as an upgrade from 7 carries the 7 licence key.

                        Cheers

Maybe I will just use it for for backup or storage then.

It puts me off WDs a little and with the the comments, but its the first with a click for me.

                            Thanks Ed

Looking on your link it looks more about parking, I will have to put up with it.

I have now wiped the TB and I am installing Windows / Apps on my WD 500GB.

Once Completed I will clone the 500GB to the TB and decide which one to use permanent.

As I say the TB came with the Dell 760 (up for sale on ebay) It was then I noticed the click and thought I didn’t want to sell it with the TB clicking. It goes back on tonight with the 250GB WD.

Meanwhile I can’t decide what to use the TB on or should I sell it stating the click and the WD test.

I need to get some ££ back for the HP I purchased.

                            Cheers

Richard maybe it is parking, its now running on it’s own with the OS

The OS is now on the TB it’s clicking (below is the click on startup)

It doesn’t sound very healthy yet the report says it is.

Turn your volume up high (low sound record) and press play on this link

                              Cheers

                                Good luck to all.

Been stuck at the barrier many after pressing the buzzer, those behind I am sure blame me. It’s not my fault the securitymust be on a T break.

Richard when it rains it pours, sorry to hear the problems poured out.

                                  Thanks Ed

I will run a chkdisk, as you say spinrite is expensive. It could be cheaper to buy another TB.

The results are in (after 5 hours)

It may not be clicking as it was a blank slave while on test?

I thought it would have clicked on the scan. It is now clicking now and again once as a slave.

I will clone the OS to it and see if click on full use.

                                  Cheers

The test on the TB is still going (4hrs so far) the results won’t be in till tomorrow, it hasn’t clicked yet.

I did see that thread and dl ToDo, I think it’s what your used too.

I used to use paragon before Acronis Paragon will do.

While I am posting, the results are in for the 250GB WD

Just running the test on the TB, results in a couple of hours?

Just to say I usually only use WDs to use Acronis True Image WD Free.

Sadly the SSD on the HP you suggested isn’t WD so I have to use paragon.

                                            Thanks Dave

I think it came with the click (was the originall Dell 760 HDD) from IT Buffs.
I thought it may have been as so.

I have since put a (old) 250GB in the Dell and it so peacefull running the Dell.

It’s more a tickety boo clickerdy click than a chug, I will dl WD Datalifeguard and see if it’s time to retire cheers.
