I nearly got SAPed starting in 2001 when I worked for Siemens. They tried to change the working practices of the maintenance department to fit a SAP module but it turned out the module did not fit our contractual obligations. When I left in 2003 the roll out was on hold for the foreseeable future.

Good luck with the teeth D-Dan, I feel your pain.

If you still have some cash left after treatment I just put this together on the Palicomp custom system builder.

        Case: Coloursit Knight 6×3.5 bays

        CPU: Ryzen 7 2700

        MOBO: ASUS Prime A320M

        RAM: Corsair Vengence 16GB

        Graphics: GTX 1070 8GB

        Price: £869

Have a look at the Palicomp custom builder yourself as you know better than me your exact needs ?

This is NOT an ad for Palicomp but I have had 7 systems from them and they have been just as ordered, on time and backed by a years free tech support.

I really like the poles. The first wave we got were the useless drunks but now we have the young couples with toddlers. Couldnt be more polite.

                Er well no VFM

I was not going to get into imigration apart from who may slip past the irish border but English is just not spoken in Wembley high road. They are fresh off the plane from Heathrow.

The poles are a bteath of fresh air.

Oh and Ed immigration does impact me. Here in Wembley London we have gone from 95% white british to 95% non white british (google Wembley central demographic) in only 40 years.

Well there you go Ed. Six indians and a couple of albanians. Nothing is perfect like you pointed out about the good friday agreement but I think we can stand that level of immigration ?

Leave the border as it is like i said for now.

We do not get get floods of inflatables on our shores because they cant make it here, much less lreland.

Why would they cross the med then walk to france then get a boat to ireland then walk to NI then boat to the UK ? Every time chancing getting caught ???

Oh and why would they bother anyway if we are the spent force the EU say we are.

Oh silly me its on the next page.

EU migrants entering Ireland do first have to be registered EU citizens. If we have no deal with the EU then crossing the UK border without a visa will be illegal. As EU citizens there is no problem finding a place to deport them to.

As for unregistered econnomic migrants, they would be better off just landing here in the first place.

Well like I said, suck it and see.

IF Ireland suddenly turned into the people and goods smuggling capital of europe then we would have to legislate but I can’t really see it happening.

The Irish border question is only really a problem when it comes to negotiating with the EU.

At the moment we have no customs boarder with Ireland and special status for Irish immigration.

If we crash out of the EU with no deal then I see no reason for things to change in the short term. Far better to keep an eye on things to see how they go before introducing laws that may never be needed.

If the Irish or their EU masters insist on setting up a hard border then let them but as an independent nation we can introduce any restrictions that prove necessary later.

I was slightly disappointed to hear that Boris had resigned, because I thought he could do a better job of fighting for a proper Brexit from the inside. Then I remembered one of my reasons for voting to get out of the EU.

Although Boris was on the inside he no longer had a voice because of the weekend Cheqers agreement. The same as the UK in the EU since they introduced majority voting.

Better to be on the outside shooting in.

Yeh I was reading up on that BIOS setting. It seem to be common on mobo’s with an M2 slot because they may well be cofigured with no external drives. From what I can find it has failed to help anyone. The graphics card probably only draws PCIe power until later in the boot phase too.

Anyway have a good holiday ?

Something odd is going on this year. There is an apple tree in my mothers garden and last year there were so many apples that they bent the branches. This year there wasn’t even any blossom.

Got a few bees but no wasps and I think we must have most of the flies too. All kinds including the ones that bite, some I don’t even recognise !

All very odd. It sounds a lot like what a soft fuse would do though, these are real physical devices. Look up polyfuse on google if you like.

MS had missed the mobile OS boat and they knew it. Their big idea was to leverage their dominance in the desktop market to get on board hence Windows 8. The thinking was that if people got used to using Windows with tiles on their desktops they would want it on their phones. The result instead was that no one wanted Windows 8 !

Come to think of it I may have had a related problem when I first upgraded to W10. I started getting random shutdowns.

When the PC was under heavy load things were fine but under light load or at the desktop it would just switch off after a minute or two.

I changed the power profile to max performance and stopped everything but the monitor from sleeping like I had it under W7 and the problem went away.

I thought it was a Windows problem but now I wonder if power saving was leaving me with too little load ?
