I Read your link Ed and the EU’s negotiating guidlines and what they both seem to state is that the British are evil and can’t be trusted with human rights. We must be supervised by a higher power at all times.

I though that was what I said Ed. We had an opt out but Mr Blah signed us up as one of his first acts. I also made a point of saying that the ECJ is not the same as the Human Rights Act  although they do enforce it. Mr Cameron proposed a British bill of rights we could work to instead but the EU were having none of it.

Why oh why is our Supreme court not Supreme enough by the way ?

The Wiki on the Maastricht treaty is worth a read.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion based on their situation and experience Spedly. It just so happens that I am HUGELY affected by the human rights act because the scumbags it allows to stay tend to come and live next to me in Wembley.

One of my many reasons for voting to leave was to get rid of that act. Once you sign up to anything with the EU it is final with no take backs allowed. The only get out clause is number 50 so that one it had to be.

Just to get one thing straight, even John Major was smart enough to get us an opt out clause from the European human rights act but he did sign us up to the European court of justice. One of the first things Mr Blah did once elected was to opt us right back in. We opted out in the first place because the wording of the act made it clear that it was open to abuse from the very start.

In fact I am of the opinion that the more the EU manderins looked into the situation the more s**t they found themselves in. Their solution is to stick their heads in the sand and pretend its not happening.

Im not quite sure you are quite correct VFM. Under any treaty the EU cares to quote, if we walk away with no deal we owe them nothing BUT. We are continuing to pay our dues up until the leave date including paying into the fund that the EU will distribute as it sees fit in the future. We have paid in advance and the money has not been spent so why is it not ours ?

I am using a cooler master CM690 Mk2 that I got in 2010. They are end of life now but I believe Scan has a few for £11.50 !

On Windows Ext2fsd is your friend for Ext4. Read/Write but only limited journaling. As it is just another file system driver you could probably mount it from an NTFS Volume too.

Hmm. Well not on my mobile. That just takes me to my profile. I can find blog on the main menu under other but it only shows the few existing posts under Tech. I can’t see a way to add a new blog there or under my profile ?
