In 1978 I borrowed a book from the library about making kites out of sticks, string and brown paper. The last project in the book was to build a rocket powered kite (A plane then) using the Jetex motor. The Book provided a number for a Jetex supplier but sadly it was written in 1972 and by the time I rang they said they could no longer supply Jetex motors and didn’t know anyone who could.

Oh I don’t know Ed, they can be pretty pissy about C++ as well. Let me list a few of the types I have found.

        1. Those who know what they are talking about and are glad to help

        2. Those who know what they are talking about but don’t seem to want to answer questions because THEY had to learn the hard way.

        3. Those who don’t know what they are talking about but like to look clever so answer with off topic nonsense.

        4. Those who’s answer to every question is “Go buy a book”.

I found out about the memory limit removal when I briefly installed 18GB  of RAM and all of it showed up as available. That also proves that my MoBo does memory remapping properly or some of it would have gone missing due to memory mapped device I/O.

Windows 7 64bit Home editions used to limit you to 16GB of Ram but it was purely a licencing issue. They stopped that sillyness with 8.1

It does look interesting Ed but I AM still playing with C++ and its taking up all my spare learning power at the moment ?. I even managed to get a sensible answer one of my question on StackOverflow last week !

I am sorry to hear that Bob, I really really am. I have a specific learning disability that makes writing extremley dificult for me. I can do it but it takes up about 90% of my brain power as i have to concentrate on drawing every letter. My school teachers were of the opinion that there was no point in teaching me anything if i could not write it down.

I know. I try to live my life bye giving people a chance. The Eu had theirs. Time to beat them up.

Did a playground bully never take your lunch money ? Did you not eventually punch him in the gob ? Well I did and ended up best friends.

I disagree Ed. A good negotiator can make the other side buckle even if he has no cards. And we have lots.

I was baiting you Dave. I knew if I mentioned Norman you would jump on that and ignore the fact that we need to take a MUCH MUCH harder line with the EU.

We GET some negotiators and NOT the ones trained by whitehall !

All good manners and fair play will get you nowhere and nothing from the EU.

Send in the bully boys. Pull Norman Tebit out of retirement if you must but tell THEM the way it is GOING to be !

Outside observers ( the US, Canada, Australia and even Japan) cannot understand our roll over and beg attitude.

Why has stockholm syndrome not been mentioned before now ? It more or less sums up our relationship with the EU.

Oh ye of little faith Bob ?

We really are the fith largest economy in the whole wide world all on our little lonesome. The EU is only a tiny part of the planet and without our cash it will be a skint one at that. Cut off their trade with us as well and they really will be knackered. If we leave with no deal it will a sneeze at most for us but a large dose of plague for them.

I had to look up facile Bob and guess what ? its French !

Compairing Mrs May’s surrender deal to Chamberlain’s appeasment paper is facile but there are other similarities too. We gave Hitler what he wanted but it made no difference to his ambition and we gave him the impression that there was no way we would carry out our threats under Chamberlain either.

Chamberlain was a respected and dutifull politicion but he was not the man for the hour and I don’t think Mrs May is either.
