Its an interesting inversion of the old castle siege tactic. Instead of the defenders building a wall to keep out the attackers and then being besieged into submission, the would be besieger’s build the wall themselves !

It could only work now with the advent of those quick to erect concrete T things.

Well if you need something to laugh about then how about the following article I found by accident. Irexit in the Irish times.

        https://www.irishtimes.com/opinion/why-ireland-should-seriously-consider-irexit-1.3202154?mode=amp

Irexit, what a laugh, could never happen, He He. ???

        Or could it ?

In the mean time you may like to check Windows media streaming options which seem to have been turned off with the latest update. These were easy to find in Windows Media player but they appear to have gone from there. So….

Control panel>Network and internet>Network and sharing centre

Find Change advanced sharing settings on the left.

            Click on all networks

Scroll down to media streaming and click choose media streaming options.

This had been turned off on my PC and was why I could no longer stream films to my Gear VR headset.

The way SMB worked under W7 was that a client would always send out an SMB 1 request to a server. If the server supported SMB 2.0 then it would respond with an SMB 2.0 reply. If the client also supported SMB 2.0 then the connection would continue as SMB 2.0 if not then SMB 1.0

I havent looked up how things work in the latest W10 but I may do now. If I do i’ll post it here ?

Back in 2010 I used Bumptop for a while and quite liked it. Then Google brought the company and it disapeared. Oh well.

If anyone is looking to buy a new TV, the Samsung smart remote is REALLY good at finding content. Just hold the mike button and say “”Forbidden Planet” and it offers you 4 or 5 ways to get the film (Amazon still want £12 for the HD version). The system uses Samsung and google servers to do the actual searching and voice recognition so its fast too. The only limitation is that the system only searches services that have apps installed on your Samsung TV. l only found that out a few weeks ago when I searched for something really obscure, that I had previously found on the internet, but couldnt find with the remote.

The EU are robbers. They cannot bully us by threatening to withdrawal funding cos we pay them

                      Dear Bob

We are NOT a tiny weeny little country. That is just what the EU would have you believe. Two fingers up to them.

The Hindu owners of a British passport are getting miffed about it.

Hmm. The number of Arab muslims in Wembley has more than trippled in the last 10 years and they are mostly the proud owners of an EU passport.

Oh ye of little faith people. I think the Brititish are greater than our EU masters say we are. The fact we can sling opinions about on here without getting personal proves it ?

We dont even have to do any real fighting with the EU at the moment. Just tell them it aint good enough.

Indeed we are a joke. We voted out and then let the self serving MP”s get their self serving interests involved. Rest of the world think it is a bloody good laugh.
