I am using an AT 110E cartridge at the moment, got it in 1985 but never used it at the time. Was the recommended budget cartridge back then.
Groan Boris 😂
Well I got it wrong, I admit it.
I said that Labour would increase its lead in Harrow West but it actually lost a few votes, still a large win as predicted though, couldn’t be anything else.
But seriously though, can we have a proper opposition now ?
JC did what his party wanted but NOT what labour voters wanted. Momentum are still in charge so what can be done ?
I see the pound just went past $1.35
Everyone seen the exit pole result yet ?
Same here, but there were plenty of people at the polling station earlier,
Given the talk in the polling que today, anyone would think that the sun shone directly from JC’s ass.
Well no matter what happens I am predicting an increased Labour majority in my constituency of Harrow West.
I had a problem with Freeview reception and a very odd fix.
The signal I get from my communal loft aerial is strong but noisy. With an ordinary STB I would often get picture break up and some days half the channels would go missing, I tried a couple of different boxes but it made no difference. Then I signed up to talk talk TV and they sent me a You View box.
Result ? Perfect picture on all freeview channels all the time ! The same is true now I have a smart TV but both go back to the previous crummy picture if I switch my router off and NO picture if I pull the aerial out.
The loudest concert I ever heard was Depech Mode at Hammersmith Odeon, the bass actually made my trousers flap 😁
Ah but it can’t be fixed Ed. You just can’t have the power in a battery that you have in a tank of fuel.
You don’t actually need a really noisy exhaust these days. The RC40 system sold by Mini Spares Centre is a straight through absorption type with almost zero back pressure and it just has a “sporty” note 😁
I am going to take a guess here. The energy used to compress a really stiff valve spring must be quite substantial. You only need a very stiff spring at very high RPM so the valve stays under control. They must be saving something somewhere with a gas spring or they wouldn’t bother?
I fitted dual valve springs on my Mini engines because David Vizard’s book and Kent Cams said I should but I never did know why 🤔
Multi user, multi tasking. Forget it !
Ah the old IBM main frames. The System 360 was about to be released at that time and even they were batch processors back then 😁
They finally got it right for the launch of the 1275 GT in 1972 and they transferred that setup to the Metro where it stayed until they replaced the A series with a K series 😁
They went through a fair few mods with the Mini gearbox to get it right. Type A gears, Type B gears, Full synchro gears and finally the type fitted to the rod change box’s. You also had “Magic Wand”, Remote change and Rod change gear linkages. They had 3 goes at the inboard drive shaft coupling before they got it right too.
Had it on a rolling road and it gave 86 BHP at my self imposed limit of 6500 RPM. Not bad for a 1293cc pushrod engine.
I am Mark. Watched a few of those videos. My interest was sparked by David Visard’s book “Tuning BL’s A Series Engine”. Lots of detail about CAM timing, lift and duration in there. I picked a Kent Cam’s 276 for my last engine. Slightly lumpy idle but still gives power above 6000 RPM.
