Must admit I havent seen this one before but I did a bit of digging and found a couple of things. jusched.exe is the Java updater and its trying to call home using a secure connection but failing. From what i read it’s because of a problem with the Microsoft SSL/TLS secure channel library in windows. Several people have said running sfc /scannow from a comnand prompt fixes it.
Thanks for the comment Ed. That system sounds like trouble waiting for the programer to leave ? interrupts are a good idea for a real time system though.
And Pt 2 is better. It is actualy useful for those of us who still dabble in assembly language.
Please enjoy later 😉
Hi Richard nice to get a reply. The info in the article may not be of any practicle use now that we dont have to set jumper’s and dip switch settings but it comes under the heading of how it works and nice to know. Oh and i remember run length limited drives and interleve settings too but that really is best fogoten.
I was hoping for a comment by now. Even if you think its rubbish 🙂
Well here is the article. feel free to move it as required.
Worry not for the moment. Am away just now and my scribbles are on my main PC. Will post here at the weekend unless you have a better place
Hello doctor. Thats all the encouragement i need and you may be happy to know that the article does include a bit about the electrical signaling. Expect a post at the weekend
A quick way to see if you have a decent amount of power may be to plug your phone in and see how it charges.
If you REALLY don’t like the system partition for some reason you can reinstall windows 10 onto an empty partition on a pre partitioned disk instead of letting the installer handle the partitioning for you. In this case no system partition will be created and the installer will put all the boot files in the windows partition. Is it worth it? Probly not.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>I started my computer ownership in 1980 with a ZX81 as i was still at school and it was the only one i had a hope of affording. My school also had two and an RM380Z. The BBC micro hadnt been released yet. After learning Sinclair Basic i was looking for something with better graphics, colour and sound that i may be able to afford. After reading some of the computer mags of the time i chose an Atati 400 with 16k, Basic cartridge and the data recorder. The cost was £490 and after selling my ZX81, Atari VCS and saving my paper round money for 8 months i finally got one at christmas 1981. I got an Atari ST in 1988 but i didnt get a PC until 1992 when my company gave me a 286 laptop. I had been looking at 16 bit computers since the sirrus 1 and origonal IBMPC but could never afford one. Still better late than never and ive had PCs ever since.</p>
The motherboard power sockets havent changed in ages, 24 pin main and 4 or 8 pin CPU 12V. The PSU may have more or less SATA and 6 or 8 pin PCIe plugs. You will still get a few molex too but you may loose the floppy power.
I will stil build my next PC when upgrade time comes but it wont be to save money. Reusing parts may save cash but by then my SSD will be too small my PSU will be getting on my graphics card will be outdated who knows if ill need the BD drive and I will want a new case so the PC looks new ! A new version of w10 will also be required as even though i upgraded from the retail version of W7 its not transferable. In short i will be doing it for fun and the practical experiance. On that note who knew it took so much force to push down the lever on a socket 1366 till they tried it ? Or is that just mine.
My last ever console was a Jaguar with cd because of my interest in all things Atari and I cant see me buying another. Infact I think consoles may be on a sticky wicket. Back in the 80s people thought home compuers would kill off consoles because why buy a console to play games when you could get a real computer that played them too ? I turns out that parents still wanted a toy they could buy their kids for christmas and the new consoles from saga and nintendo fitted the bill. Grannys too wanted a box they could wrap for the grand kids and a cartridge filled that need. Consoles now though really are just PCs in a different box and they no longer cost toy money. The games too are increasingly sold as downloads so granny gets no box. For casual gaming there are now phones and tablets and if you really want the best you cant beat a PC. So consoles are far from dead yet but wonder for how long ?
Insults on a postcard please
Hi Dave
