I should have perhaps added that the statesman-like Ken Clark’s age and possible frailty are plus points as there will be little fear that he will outstay his welcome, just get the job done and retire to plaudits.

Incidentally, I am fed up  with hearing that people ‘Just want Brexit done no matter what!’.

Don’t these idiots know that a Hard Brexit would embroil us in a further seven long years of trade and Irish border discussions with the EU? During such a period every Brexit boil would be tortured all over again e.g. immigration, fish stocks, human rights etc.

Lets be clear, unfortunately I do not think there will ever be an elected Government of National Unity.

Rather, I think if BoJo does not pull an EU rabbit out of the hat within the next week, there WILL be a successful motion of no confidence in his slimy Government, but then someone such as Ken Clark will stand up and say that he has sufficient support from all parties to go to the Queen and form an interim Government to sort out the mess that the mendacious BoJo and his untrustworthy gang have caused, and promise to negotiate (a soft) Brexit with the EU, then set up a referendum to either approve this or remain. Following this he will stand down for a General Election.

The hard line Conservatives are now in a minority, so it only needs everyone else to gang together under the common purpose of shafting the Johnson/Mogg gang.  Johnson’s recent petulant antics make this an ever easier task.

Just for fun – Japanese food can also be a near killer as this 60 year old woman found out when she guzzled a load of wasbi thinking it was avocado. link

Kimchi dishes are really nice (but you have to like garlic).

Supposedly dishes based on fermented products (Kimchi, Miso, Natto, Yoghurt etc)  promote the good guys in your gut which in turn is good for the heart.

My wife has a similar one that enables the touch screen to be detached and used as a stand-alone pad. Bit gimmicky imo as she has used it in this format only once. It is however very light which mattered to her.

The legal opinion from Cox was redacted, so we will never know unless it is leaked.

I think what really told against the Mendacious One was the absence of a sworn affidavit setting out the reasons for the length of the prorogation when the length of time to prepare for a Queens Speech was noted in court as only three or four days. I’m not so certain that the Mendacious One is completely off the hook if it ever comes out that the real reasons were discussed via email but never openly disclosed to his legal team.

Back on a Government of National Unity, when the Tories think it through there are very good reasons for them to support such a Government negotiating a populist view of an acceptable Brexit that marginalises the NF wing of the Tories and the Brexit party.

Another bit of good news, as the prospect of a Hard Brexit recedes so too does the prospect of an oil price hike, as this article makes clear. (spoiler Iran, Russia and Venezuela step into the breach. ) link

I would not dismiss the idea of a Government of National Unity formed to ask the EU for a delay, sort out this Brexit mess and then call a General Election to decide on the outcome. i.e a Corbyn (generally acceptable Brexit) or None as set out today, a Tory who knows what/Hard Brexit, or a LibDem No Brexit.

I reckon the Mendacious one has mere days to reveal his ‘rabbit’.

I await the analysis from the financial pundits but I think the new method should result in a better handle on Government stay in business borrowing requirements (i.e. cash flow for the UK). It also appears to give a better separation between capital and revenue expenditures.

Sorry, I read your post too quickly. As you know Aitkin ‘saw the light’ and is now a Deacon in the Church of England. I guess that Abbot had a hard job finding any real Christians in the Labour party.

I think we are ruled by a bunch of juvenile idiots adhering to outdated and outmoded procedures. Most of whom do it either for personal aggrandisement or back-handers.

We need a written constitution and proportional representation before you can say that we live in a democracy. We also need a way of weeding out parliamentary cretins incapable of making decisions fit for a modern world.

You may need to expand the headings to get a full result, and unfortunately some categories do not tell the whole truth especially mobo and Intel drivers. Touch screen may be at the gpu or mobo level.

A pita but if it were my piece of kit I’d expand and search online for updates on every item.

What I find quite worrying is that almost all Government forms can now only be accessed on line. Putting aside the fact that many forms are both badly designed and/or ambiguous/legalistic these forms have to be filled in by the General Public on systems which the majority do not really understand. As a design test try hitting the back button, on many forms you can finish in a completely unexpected location!

                                  Crap in=complete crap out.

Good on-line Help may mitigate this, but writing meaningful targetted ‘Help’ for technically challenged people is a skill that very few have.

Pairing‘ by definition is cross-party as it is designed to allow MPs to absent themselves in emergency. She had to pair with an opposition MP. I guess you conveniently forgot that fact in order to spin your tale.

Perhaps you would now like to spin a yarn about the mendacious BoJo’s lack of an explanation for his very suspicious actions as Lord Mayor. I suppose that as Ms Acuri was a well endowed lady that would be a sufficient excuse!

I think you should be balanced in your ROFL. This is her side of the story in a Mirror interview:

Yet you sent your son to public school. Why?

DIANE ABBOTT Well, since I made that decision Labour built five new secondary schools in Hackney, one of them with some of the best GCSE results in the country. I wouldn’t have to make the same choice today.

BR But why did you make that choice at all?

DA I’d done a lot of work on how black boys underachieve in secondary schools so I knew what a serious problem it was.

I knew what could happen to my son if he was sent to the wrong school and got in with the wrong crowd.

I realised they were subjected to peer pressure and when that happens it’s very hard for a mother to save her son.

Once a black boy is lost to the world of gangs it’s very hard to get them back and I was genuinely very fearful of what could happen.

Afaik it only updates on booting. You can check the eeprom date with the manual command.

If it wasn’t too much of an effort I’d be lodging  a complaint with the Advertising standards  board, and demanding my money back under the not fit for purpose rule.
