Other than not being common on Windows networks what is the issue with that?
“NFS is often used with Unix operating systems (such as Solaris, AIX, HP-UX), Apple’s macOS, and Unix-like operating systems (such as Linux and FreeBSD). It is also available to operating systems such as Acorn RISC OS,[13] the classic Mac OS, OpenVMS,[3] MS-DOS,[14] Microsoft Windows,[15] Novell NetWare,[16] and IBM AS/400.[17] Alternative remote file access protocols include the Server Message Block (SMB, also termed CIFS), Apple Filing Protocol (AFP), NetWare Core Protocol (NCP), and OS/400 File Server file system (QFileSvr.400). [edit] I think the issues you may have had in mind have now disappeared (Windows Home may be an issue?). link
Unfortunately politicians just do not understand that complexity takes time to resolve, so those in the Government that start working on contingency plans to mobilise the military (thanks to May we are short of civil policing), and look at food and fuel rationing (logistics constraints) and grounded airlines are dubbed FUD mongers. Unfortunately if we do actually crash out with a very hard Brexit that is just what we will get.
Admittedly the impacts on places like Holland and France will be even greater, and the whole of the EU will have to face a huge budget deficit. However that is no real comfort it just shows the impracticality of a hard Brexit.
We need the referendum I posited, to see if the public really like the idea of being very poor for a long while.
In a kitchen polystyrene tiles are a terrible idea. Near impossible to clean and a fire hazard – rip em all off!
The tech sites have gone off Moto due to Lenova’s carp update policy. WileyFox are good at updates(recently updated mine to Oreo) and Nokia has a published update policy. One Plus is also good.
No. The mould would happily grow and feast away as it would be protected by a layer of ordinary paint.
Some mould growth around damp areas such as shower seals etc is difficult to avoid, but black mould on walls is worrying from a health standpoint. If you are badly troubled by mould on walls you need to look at your ventilation/extraction, and check that outside guttering etc is not blocked or misplaced.
On a more serious note, this 2016 link explains why a UK Bill of Rights Foundered. (it wasn’t the EU that killed it, it was the House of Lords). I would guess that some of the self-same arguments have been wheeled out again and convinced May that we cannot junk the ECHR.
Immediately my post (above) was made, the unread/read function worked as intended. Good catch JayCeeDee.
I agree with JayCeeDee, the post above showed up as unread when only his post was visible.
I always used to first try this sort of thing using ordinary copy paper as it is cheaper than card!
While doing a quick dabble in LibreOffice (on-line Help) I came across the following which may be more helpful.
So what fixed it Dan?
It reads as though you just went to a conventional non-EFI set-up, true?
We have numerous Green and Greater Spotted Wood-Peckers but no lesser spotted ones. In common with many birds they love a peanut butter/meal worm mix.
[edit] btw if you ever need to bait for rats, although they have generally learned to avoid the ‘green’ and useless poisoned seed, mix it with peanut butter and they gobble it up, even better in a sandwich! (tip from a New York Metro guy I once knew)
Also, photo (or video) the item before & during packing.
Good idea, and send the buyer an email copy in advance.
Steve in my opinion the ECHR shares the same problem as that of the UK legal system. Judges interpret and extend laws into territories never contemplated by our elected representatives. Case law as a concept stinks, and the problem with human rights is that it has a very tenuous definition and now covers things such as ‘the right to an Internet Connection’
I’m obviously reading the wrong information sources, but I believe that on 11 July 2018 May publicly committed to a statement saying that the UK would remain in the ECHR link
She obviously sees the same issues over Ireland that are seen by others, so perhaps talk of tearing up the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement is moot.
I am not as interested in the good friday agreement as you are Ed but I am not proposing it changes one bit. Everything can remain as is with the exception being that we will have to be trusted to keep our word once we are not bound by the human rights act.
While it is possibly conceivable that Eire (and Sinn Fein) might just trust Mainland UK, I find it very unlikely that such trust would be extended to the DUP without the good offices of a disinterested third party. (I’m not sure I trust the DUP too much myself!)
As we both agree, the ones to blame for the misrights Act are TBLiar and his Human Rights Specialist lawyer wife.
I’m sorry that I misread your posts, I did not realise or even dream that you were advocating tearing up the Good Friday Agreement, or even renegotiating it. If so, you are certainly happy to take some really big risks with the population of Ireland (north and south) as well as mainland UK.
sarcasm ?@edpsMany
thunks thanks!I’m not sure of the font selection (size yes, font maybe not) as I think you will need a total ban on Wingdings. As a ‘nice to have’ an easy to use strikethrough would pander to my sense of sarcasm.
