Someone said that we were lucky in Wales – free hospital car parking.  True.

When you had to pay you could find spaces to park, now that it’s free the ones I have been to are jam packed and probably not all of the ‘visitors’ are patients – far too many ‘car sharing’ and using the hospital free car park as a meeting place.

Thanks to you all, I accept that I do have a licebce for W7 but that was OEM and the only change in the system is the mobo. Ok if it won’t do it, I have to ask the question where can I download W10 Pro for the licence that I hold?

My wife’s W10 PC has just been updated – 1st problem MS had decided that the default language was English (USA). Yet more to come probably!

After posting I switched it on and got:

Diagnosing your Pc – then hung up with the rotating ‘cursor’ a stationary semicircle between 6 and 12.

It is only the mobo that has been replaced, everything else is as per old m/c, but I have a new spare SSD to use with the ‘old system HDD’ though currently booting off the original HDD.

I also still have the original genuine W7 disk but I suspect that as I ‘accepted’ their offer at least 12 months ago it will be seen as an invalid serial number.

A good point has been made but based on my own experience in the police – when we had foreign nationals in custody – immigration matters – we had to use something which I recall sounded like ‘Language Line’ – we phoned a number saying we wanted a certain language interpreter. We generally got one but for the very much out of the ordinary languages the cost was astronomical and many times we’d be speaking to someone in the USA!!

Same in Wales there are areas that don’t have doctors who want to go there and the locals take umbrage that the locum – he/she cannot speak to them in Welsh!  Seems to me that some of my countrymen/women would rather be ill than speak English to alleviate their problems!

I agree with the age matters but she hardly looked up from the floor during the vows etc. etc. Accepting that she might not have wanted to be the centre of attention at the wedding I just wonder if she was a ‘bit miffed’ as having to sit in the 2nd row – she’s probably never had to do that before? I feel there was a distinct ‘coldness’ this time and I fully support our Royal Family.

With so many ANPR cameras etc. dotted around the road network how long will they last w/o an MOT? Not so long ago the politicians were all urging us to ‘go diesel’ as an alternative to the ‘air polluting petrol engine!!!’

Just been looking at the wedding, HM Queen did NOT seem to be very happy – could it be that she was relegated to the 2nd row?  She seemed a lot happier en route back home in the car, from what I saw she was head down when occasionally on TV.

I don’t want to draw this out, but Forumite will shortly, as did MM, have a reputation for going off topic – my answer to that is quite simple – if it’s of no interest to me, it might be to others and I always thought that freedom of speech was allowed (within legal limits).

I didn’t think my post was in any way off topic as the chances of violence in the WC, Russia is very high especially as some Russian fans seem to have their own ‘military style’ brigades and our fans’ reputation is hardly angelic in many instances.

Hence why I couldn’t see the reason for the posted comment.

Strangely enough I have just discovered a very handy quirk on my TV – I think it’s called an OFF switch – works wonders. Same on the radio and I even have a choice as to what I read in the papers – sees very simple and straightforward to me!

Mike Brewer who was the other half of the duo also owns several garages in the UK, a mate of mine purchased an Audi A4 (??) or similar from one of his garages about 12 months ago.  Car was delivered to his H/A, exactly as described with the addition that if not as described or as you had hoped for we return it. He bought it part exch and his ‘old car’ was collected by them from his H/A about 3 weeks later.

He was very pleased with the transaction.

Just goes ‘black’ – update memtest gives all clear on RAM,  SFC/scannow – gives all clear.

He’s decided to go for a new mobo!!  Why not?
