Well I just accessed my TSB online account for the 3rd time this week. This time absolutely no problems at all. I printed off a full month and checked all payments in and out: all payments OK. No problems in Savings account or Credit Card. Logged out, logged back in, no problems.
I don’t know if I am one of the lucky ones, but what I have had, is the patience to keep coming back. People on MSE are flying into a rage instead of giving it time. Some are expecting compensation when they have no explainable losses. There are those with actual losses and TSB are giving them recompense. The bank knows it has made a horrendous error, but some complaints are farcical.
That heightened sense of entitlement, which too many people seem to have nowadays.
EDIT: you posted while I typed, Dave. I understand your point of course: same thing happening in every industry. Not enough experienced, properly trained IT staff. I just wonder, if the new system beds down and works well, I hope it becomes really efficient and forces others to invest in new systems themselves? One can but hope I guess. But the TSB site looks ‘cleaner’ and actually worked much faster today than before the change, so perhaps there is real hope.
Optimist, Moi!

I'm out.I am not considering switching atm: we have a really good branch in Louth, albeit rushed off their feet right now, as I suspect are most local branches. The offer to raise the account interest rate to 5% again (from 3%) is a bit too tempting.
The Louth branch staff are really good, the feel is akin to when branches put the customer first. A bit 20th Century, in fact.

I'm out.I am a customer of TSB: the problem was caused by Sabadell the Spanish owner trying to fit their vaunted new Round Peg system into a British Square Hole.
That’s my conclusion.

I'm out.Well I managed to get hold of the District Nursing Team (horrible circular phone Options, unclear recordings) I just hit option 1 and got an actual human, in the end. Waiting now for determination of vaccinations by them if possible at same time as bloods. They promise tomorrow. I was fairly humble: ‘not your fault, know you are busy, blah blah – Castle Hill admin has delayed it.’ Etc, etc and more blah blah. We shall see.

I'm out.” P.s.s. For those who are not sure what it is for it’s there to wave it around and to say how big it is. So that’s that clarified.”
I love it! Like I said, it’s a bit of fun and fun is necessary.

I'm out.I think that I drank that on a holiday to Brugge with SWMBO some years ago, quite nice as I remember it. Oysters, fillet steak and some very nice ice cream on a sweet tart.
I am salivating…

I'm out.All true guys and I second every word. IMO there should be improved training for NHS admin staff, top to bottom. They should be left in no doubt that their input is the last line of defence against mistakes, and their importance to the system, should be stressed. By the same token, their errors should be punished.
Richard that is an almost horrifying story. The problem is that it is becoming all too common.
I count myself fortunate in having a relatively efficient surgery, although the dispensary staff really could benefit from more training. The only efficient and courteous person there is a lady in her 30’s who has my stuff ready before I get to the counter. She is a diamond amongst a heap of coal. I respect my GP’s, who all unhesitatingly tackle those above them to fight for patients. The online surgery services are a model.
Our surgery has just completed a programme of absorbing another in the town and extending the building. Their own ancient building was quite frankly falling down and had 2 of 4 GP’s who were IMO “time served”. They retired: I suspect at the thoughts of dealing with the technologies of a modern Practice. Problem now is parking, which was never good before the increase in patients and services. I go 30 minutes early and look for a space. If none available, I tour the nearby streets.

I'm out. Thanks again Ed, found and installed 2 of 3. Had to Search KB 4093108, which came out on April 10th whilst I was in hospital. So easy to miss some if one is not at the PC for a period.
Cheers, Bob.

I'm out.TC, when I gave up Sky Q I still had the dish and was able to buy a Freesat STB. We are quite happy with this and it would answer your 3 requirements, and more. This is Humax and the various boxes:
If you can manage the DIY side, here is a useful Amazon source:
The dish with 4 outputs is a good idea, I wish I had done that. Here is eBay’s take on the same process:
As I say, we are happy with Freesat. None of the exorbitant expense of Sky stuff. Note that services like Netflix are also available on Freesat, paid for but there is more choice IMO.
EDIT: should add that I took the HDR-1100S, 1TB model. I realised that I would have been OK with the 500GB one, have lots of recordings and loads of GB left. There is also a Refurb Humax site somewhere.

I'm out. That’s a Dresdener beer, Nolan. Any beers named as German, have to follow the Purity Law. German Braurei are quick to sue.
It may be brewed in Alsace, which has been a German – French yo-yo for centuries.

I'm out. They bin on about this for years. All the way back to my 6800 ultra. My current card 1070 pumps out wild amounts of flops. I think we got some way to go before game engines can really turn on the charm with ray tracing because we have the compute power. Although I feel this will come sooner than later. 20-t flops zone. Its funny, my media center has a 610 throw away card in but it matches my old king of the hill 6800 ultra. I guess my 1070 will be throw away compute power in 10 years time. Unfortunately I will be 63.
A callow youth, Keith!?? That ain’t old…

I'm out.As I recall, the Daimler V8 had less coolant loss/overheating problems than the Jaguar equivalent. It was very light, being alloy, and the power/weight ratio in such a light body, gave it great acceleration. Jaguar killed it of course, after the saloons were found to be so much better than the Mk. X Jag: http://tinyurl.com/y7ykzkfz
All Daimler-engined V8’s are very rare cars now, premium prices for the survivors. Even basket cases fetch good money.
Something which broke my old boss’s heart when I told him in later years. I asked him to hang on to the remains and store them: we had plenty of storage at the time. Unfortunately he could not read my crystal ball.

I'm out.Yes John: they had a V8engine, not a Jaguar motor, it was Daimler’s Own. My old boss had one in 1982. Chassis collapsed due to advanced Tinworm rot.

I'm out.I have daughter cat pictures too! From last year when we looked after their previous house, Misty sat in a ground floor window and waiting for the rain to stop so she can play with her mate across the way.. She is a fairly laid back middle aged lady now, but wil jump high to grab a treat, even stand on her back legs.

Wakes up, looks around. I opened the window, she stuck out her nose. (big cat sigh) Back to sleep.

Lovely old cat, silver, silky fur that she likes to be brushed until she rolls on her back in ecstacy.

I'm out. What a little beaut! You have a cat with character Lee, going to be interesting watching her grow.
Enjoy!

I'm out.Paulaner Beer from Bavaria: I have visited Füssen and Munich many times in the past. Not so many North German beers, although I did like Warsteiner. I was 8 years in Germany (BAOR) in the late 60’s and 1970’s. I skiied at some place near the old FRG – Czecoslovak border, but cannot recall the name: it was a strange area, then as now apparently. I was a Langlauf skiier (cross-country) not downhill, and was once threatened by a Communist bloc border guard, for skiing too close to the wire. There was a Gasthaus in a small village which brewed its own, cannot recall the name, but a lovely, hoppy dark beer with a kick.
Sadly, due to various operations and medical conditions, I cannot drink alcohol now. The memory of taste is fleeting!

I'm out.Ed thanks for that: my missus has a dry, hacking cough and has had all the tests and X-rays: nothing found. She does have Thyroid problems and takes Thyroxin, but this is one for our GP to follow. Fortunately, he listens and will look into it.

I'm out.Jay Cee Dee; when I was in the trade some years ago (around 1985) there was a young lad who built up his own small garage business a few miles from us, and bought a Scimitar GTE at auction. Fitted a recon 3 Ltr Ford lump and wanted to stick a turbo on it, came to me for advice. Two things, I said:
*You neeed specialist-work lower compression heads, or you will eventually see the pistons coming through the bonnet at speed.
*You need to uprate the suspension and steering, do something aerodynamic to stick it to the road. I’ll give it some thought…
He did neither and blew the motor spectacularly on the M1 at some ridiculous rate of Knots. The thing burnt to a crisp on the hard shoulder.
Stupid boy, with the luck of the stupid: not a mark on him.
