” Anyone know a good ditch for the Mendacious One? ”
There is a particularly deep, huge, odorous and evil-looking dyke just up the road from me Ed. It’s the main outlet that ends up at the sea near Mablethorpe. Perhaps The Mendacious One could find this route to Europe a better way?

I'm out. That’s what I have in my Lenovo tab3 8, always believed it would be enough but I have only about 5 GB left on it, so keeping an eye on that. I have a 64 GB of same mini SD card in my box: bought for something else, never used and the Tab3 takes up to 64GB.

I'm out.Forgot to say hope you’re feeling better by now Nolan. Had a few days like that, everything that could go wrong, inevitably does.

I'm out.Keith, he didn’t say “60 years old blokes who cannot do owt.”
He said “…non-techy 60+ year old men… ” and there are lots of them about, half a dozen in my Close alone. I keep a few brochures from the local Louth adult learning college just to hand to those now, got sick of repeatedly showing and telling them what to do with the latest PC/tablet/ TV/ whatever. They buy the stuff and expect to turn it on and use it, without any idea of how to use it.
Having said that, we all have different working backgrounds and we come from different working experiences. I was a Motor Engineer until disabilities forced me to find something else to do. I struggled with computing in my late 50’s, went back to college for 12 months of weekdays and Saturdays at another college. I still struggle but thankfully there is always help here on Forumite and from my IT specialist grandson.
Trying to teach basic computing to a local 66 yo Hippy Artist is a nightmare from which I have yet to recover. Paints wonderful pictures, looks at his monitor as if it hates him. He painted beautiful cloud scenes on the desktop case in acrylics, managed to clog up and burn out two fans. Got off on the wrong foot when I first met him: asked what he did. “Oh I am a painter dear chap.”
“I could do with the lounge decorating” says I. With a pained expression: “Not that kind of painter dear heart. I am an artist, a painter of scenes.”
Oh bugga, I thought.

I'm out.Your last line has it Ed. Boris wants the “deal” to fail, he has always wanted a No Deal.
We. Are. Doomed.

I'm out.The people in Boston, having previously begun to develop webbed feet, are now learning to acquire gills and breathe underwater.
Incidentally, the HWFireControl Tweet in your link Ed, says: ” Fords become dangerous places during flood weather & should be avoided… ”
When the car involved is actually a Skoda.

I'm out.Throw enough (mud?) and some will stick, but is BoJo the Teflon Man? This photo (courtesy of the Daily Mirror) which appears to show Boris attempting to hide his – er – ‘excitement’ and the lady in question appears to be making a suggestion of some kind.

Didn’t anyone have a bucket of water?

Sorry Steve, but this one tickled me
(Definition of a shart for those who don’t know: https://www.google.com/search?q=shart)
I absolutely love that and will remember it to use at an opportune moment.😊🤗

I'm out.Sorry about the tardy response Nolan, busy with several jobs.
You can have them both, for P&P which I’ll price up and let you know when I can. Only one charger I’m afraid between both phones, but they are available on Ebay or Amazon. Soon as I know, I’ll get back to you. Maybe a couple of quid to RNLI as well?

I'm out.Regarding (roughly) this thread, I have two Wileyfox phones that I cannot sell, anyone know of any charity places that might take them? Original 3yo models: one a Spark, the other a Swift. Unlocked, no SIMs, working perfectly.

I'm out.VFM, do your boys live in West Belfast or Derry? No, Antrim. The Troubles are a long way from over and are actually getting worse:
I was among the first in for Op Motorman in ’69 and I did tours during the 70’s. I know what that situation is like and I know there is no quick fix. It will take decades more before the current and later generations slowly learn to live together. That is happening, but progress is slow and a lot of the current paramilitaries are young people, trained and brainwashed by the older ratbags, some of whom I probably know and many of whom were let out of jail by the “Peacemaker” (pauses, spits) Blair. Have you been avoiding the news, apart from the Brexiteer publications?
The FP report mentions Andersontown. That’s where I lost my mate: not killed, but last seen as a vegetable in a Cheshire Home. Parts of his skull blood and brains were all over my combats.

I'm out.IF you have a copy of 7, working on any machine you have:
I am fortunate in having a grandson in the IT industry. Provided me with the ISO, installed it from Win 7 on his uncle’s machine and will do the same on this desktop and his grandma’s lappy when we need it next week. Have to think very hard about his Chrimbo present this year…

it was a very good system whereby if you had insufficient signal indoors, then your calls were made via the Signal Box connected to your broadband.”
Still a good system and still working fine mate, thank you!
Family all have my WiFi on their phones which work only in the bungalow when they visit. I do not extend that privilege to other visitors, but our lovely neighbour has the use of it, her only device is her phone. The router is up high on the wall, a short distance to her bungalow. Spreading some Karma, me.😊☺😇

I'm out.Totally agree with all of that Dave. I have just read a disgusting FB post by my nephew, to the effect that death threats are justice for MP’s who have not produced Brexit yet.
Sometimes the sheer crass stupidity of people appals me, it’s worse when it’s one of my own family. His dad would have given him a slap. Some Brexiteers are now reaching pond slime level. That’s one less on the Christmas card list.

I'm out. They don’t care Ed and they refuse to listen to logic and reason. I am sick and tired of the airheads on FB ranting about “getting it done!” What does not seem to occur to them is that a sizeable majority of them will be the ones out of work when it all finally goes TU. I regret to appear disparaging, but most of the ones I mean have difficulty spelling their own names, or anything that they type into FB. No offence to anyone with Dyslexia: I have a son and gson with that condition. I mean the ones who skipped as much school as they could, never tried to understand anything that made their heads hurt, and look on education as an unnecessary waste of their telly viewing or drinking time. The real problem is that there are millions of UK citizens like that.
We are in deep doo doo and no one has a bucket to bail us out.

I'm out.Where was this taken John? Looks like snow on the ground. The object is blurred, but it does have the general outline of the object seen by the US Navy pilot.
Smashing dogs btw, busy Spaniels. Must keep your dad active, they need lots of exercise and never stop dashing about. I see various Spaniels often on local beaches, they love the sea.

I'm out.Harriet Harman would get my vote. (if I had one!) I believe she has the integrity that most of the inhabitants of Westminster are lacking. She also has bigger stones than most of the male politicians.
After yesterday’s Battle of the Benches, Boris is now showing his true colours: humbugging a murdered Labour MP. Shades of his American puppet master. What a truly disagreeable human being he is becoming: anyone’s true characteristics are always demonstrated when their backs are against the wall.

I'm out.First pic, appears to have a tail. Second pic, looks like the tail has disappeared. That suggests something like a small remote control rotary winged aircraft (helicopter) tilting nose – forward slightly. With nothing around it to give an idea of scale and size, it’s not possible to decide height either.
