They all come with standalone installers, I just realized standalone means (make sure your not connected to the internet.

Sorry John, I stupidly thought you knew that Windows had this fascinating characteristic !

          This https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/15356/windows-8-install-update-kb-2919355

seems to imply that KB 2920355 is crucial ?

On the first link I downloaded Windows 8.1 KB2919355 x64, it was 690mb I clicked on it and it opened standalone installer, searching for updates on this computer. This happened within seconds, I was expecting for a 690mb file would take 2-3 mins and nothing is installed.

It might take an hour or even more before it has identified all the missing updates, and starts doing the installation.

              Patience is the key  🙂

The original film version is THIS one. It was based on a book by Michael Crichton (Jurassic Park fame) which appears to be out of print.

I don’t believe the book was ever published, I remember seeing an interview with Crichton saying that it was a screenplay he had written and he had felt the story was better as a visual concept, and would not really work as a book

If, like me, you haven’t moved house since 1985 or changed your name and you still have the old green paper license, you do not need to have a new pink photocard one until you hit the 70 mark 🙂

                        https://www.gov.uk/exchange-paper-driving-licence

You must get a new licence if:

                        you change your address
your licence has been defaced, lost, stolen or destroyed
you change your name (you must apply by post using paper form D1 or D2)
you’re getting a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) driver qualification card (DQC)
If none of these apply and your paper licence is still valid, you don’t need to exchange it for a photocard version.

                          John.

Don’t delete it ! It contains (amongst other things) the Boot Manager and Boot Configuration Data.

When your PC boots, the Windows Boot Manager starts up and reads the boot data from the Boot Configuration Data (BCD) Store.

The PC boots the boot loader off the System Reserved partition, and it then boots Windows from your system drive.

+1 for a loose baffle (modern Vauxhalls do have this fault ?).

My venerable Vauxhall Agila which I’ve had from new in September 2003 still has its original exhaust (with chrome end pipe) which has successfully passed 11 MOT tests.  Photo taken at last test.

That £64 quoted is for the G4560 (£64.99 from Scan (pre-order))

Just sent you an initial donation   😀

For info. the payment you make defaults into making that a monthly amount – unless you untick the box.
