This is true. I’m always open to suggestion. What about sending sgb and bob on some sort of anti-tangent course ?

I’ll do some better tagging and display of them, should help.

No, I think sgb got the wrong end of the stick. I am actually talking about a concaved piece of glass.

The roof aerial goes into the free-view box, then a Scart from the box to the converter and then coax to the TV. TV’s after a certain age had 6o odd channels and you can set what channel you want to use on the converter.

Note though @bullstuff2 , Some people do miss the private messages here. I am working on making them more prominent, just an idea 🙂

If you go to the beginning of the post you will see how I have done it. Much quicker than explaining 🙂

It does work fine, I would not break up anything that was working or could be fixed. I would rather “And have thought about” building something to look vintage with modern insides. A vintage wood cased TV is something I have mulled over if I could devise a way of get something to go over an LCD monitor to replicate a vintage TV screen, maybe some how cutting the front of a glass screen if at all possible.

Gut it, and put in a Pi Zero plus a 5 inch HDMI monitor (about £40 total) — instant modern Internet TV!
Watch your language please 😉 Kind of defeats the object.

An update to this thread. I managed to get hold of some old portable 5″ tv’s one of which you can see in the pic and the other is black and white older version. I have the black and white one at the side of my pc. It’s hooked up to a freeview box via the converter I bought of ebay and works realy well 🙂
