I did think I had fixed the problem yesterday but it’s still coming to a crawl today. As for the submit button, duno, looks big and bold to me but it may not be in other areas so ill that to the never ending list.

Energy Saving, Was trying hamster generated eleci to power the server and thought reducing the text size would allow more power to be piped into important features like the animated smilies but maybe not such a good idea. Just slow down on the smilies and think of the hamsters!

Cheers. I have checked it on my phone and seems ok but I’ll wait for @sgb101 to chirp up and let me know what it’s like on his phone.

Some have mentioned forumite has out passed MM or something to them words but to be honest I don’t see it so if others can point out how that is it would be good. :good:

Cheers Ed. None the less I have plenty of little irritants to iron out yet, it’s a case of finding the energy lately. Any how I’ll try a few fixes on on Ohbother this aft then move them here if all is well.

The site was set to US language but changed to UK now but there should be no spell checker on the front end but I may be wrong, give it a try.

Well firstly I need a bit of help from some one up on old cpu’s but ill get back to that in a minute. I ended up installing Lubuntu on an old PC and place Kodi on it and then the Plex add-on as I had a subscription anyhow. I must say the Plex is better in Kodi than it is on the nowtv box so all is well.

I also installed Lirc which give me out of the box IR remote control “The Basics anyhow” and I had nextpvr running a dvb card on an other box so I added the nextpvr plugin to kodi so I have TV and record. Whats great is that kodi for what ever reason works much more smoothly with a remote than it does a mouse, much more. So all is well now.

So favor I am requesting is some info as I am no good anymore with hardware. I installed all this on an old DC7600.

I have added to this system a 120 gb ssd and a new XFX HD-545X-ZCH2 Graphics Card (ATI Radeon HD 5450 1 GB PCI-E GDDR3 Memory DVI HDMI 1 GPU) .

What I want to know is what is the fastest old cpu I can upgrade to? I have come to the conclusion the best I can do is Intel Pentium D 950 3.4GHz 4MB L2 but if I am wrong can I go any better?

And yes, its good money after bad etc etc etc 🙂 But thats what I do :good: I have an other 10 of these machines. There lovely and quiet and dont half keep a room warm in winter :yahoo:

I’ll be keeping nowtv as I use it a lot but plex I use that as much to. So no doubt Ill get hold of a roku but before I do that Ill set up a media PC this aft and see how I get on with it. I am finding setting up my remote control on either 10 or linux to be an arse. Only the volume and play button work.
