Oh well, just curious. The button on the right takes you straight to paypal now “Hopefully”. Yesterday it went to a temp donation page.

Out of curiosity, I presume it possible to re-instate a cancled subscription in paypal? Ive never noticed an option before and I am forever canceling. MS my latest.

Because Dave In The Shed changed is name to Anonymous left a stupid post and deleated his account. I can also confirm the spam yesterday was UK based no doubt someone also trying to be a plank.

I see, thanks for offer but that will be automated. There is plenty more boring stuff to be done though but it’s time consuming and so I have not bothered to ask here for help with these jobs.

It is which ever way looked at just one button to press. I dont believe it is much of a big deal, Is It? Maybe subscription is the wrong word to use. Membership then or Maybe ermm let’s see “Just humour him” reasoning.

Please some one in simple terms explain to me and my tired poor eye’s why you are so against pressing a button. Look, the button is here Here! “Dont Click It”.

If I could fully understand this resiliance then maybe I can be convinced otherwise.

And on an other note I am going to try and grow the forum and it’s surroundings and will carry on trying till there is no more trying left in me. :yes:

All I am trying to do is make things a little easier for my self. Set and Forget! Plus a membership level allows me to do other stuff to in the future and add some fun plus one benefit is automated spammers will not press a subscription button. The reasons to have it out weigh the ones to not. People have the choice to choose which level to use and costs nothing but a click to use the free one with little side affects.

Anyhow I am chilled now and I should know better from my experiances at MM not to react to persons  when I can see what is coming.

The subscription is there to point out you can donate, a monthly reminder if you will. This is one less job for me and no longer does the donation need to be pointed out. It is all automated hence why I want to do it this way. The paywall that has been throwen about was temp as pointed out in the post incase I could not find a way of allowing the threads to be read with out membership but upon thinking this solution does the same!

As I have already stated I did not expect the costs to be covered, just to be partialy covered. In time when I have time I’ll promote my other services that forumite offers and this should go someway to cover everything.

Ok, so this is my last word on the matter. I have tried to be fare, set the price fare and I have explained my costs, this forum is like no other, unique and costs what it costs plus the shit load of hours I put in. I thought to ensure the forum continues and grows I will put some safety in place where costs were partly covered.

I can clearly see now that my efforts to be honest are waisted.

This is now what is going to happen! You will have to choose a membership level.

Full access and usage to the forum. There will be restrctions to other areas of the site and this is undescided yet.
