@tippon I think it’s time to go. It’s just one more thing to go wrong when it’s not even being used so i’ll trim it out.
@sgb101 The fireworks are the only thing I really look forward to at this time of the year. I got a look ch4 at the piddly motor that will ring big ben in. It doe’s it’s job for now. Things seem to have gone from bad to worse since they started dismantling big ben, Just a thought 🙂

The first thing I do when I get a new Android phone is put the ms launcher on there. I am not saying they should be forcing people to use it but I do find my phones that little bit better for it.

Was doing a bit of primenow shopping last night as I fancied a beer before bed and found this. It clearly states works with linux on the box but yet again another fail. Apparently it is possible to get it going with some terminal bashing but I change distros often so I do not fancy that. I also bought the other week with no luck THIS.

It was what you technically call and like my self “Knackered” 🙂 It was down about an hour, pretty much the same amount sleep I have had. I can hear hammers and chopping when I go to bed even after the builders have gone. Only two days left now “I Hope”. The actual problem was “The TO-DO List” feature in the account area. So I chopped it out with a big saw. I don’t think anyone used it anyway.

I had actually looked at the first one you linked to already but as usual no mention of Linux. I have just upgraded FTTC 80 meg and I want to make the most of it. The modem is downstairs and main PC upstairs. I am sick to death of all the cables in the house. I tried a home plug setup but I am loosing 40 meg through them. I have tried a laptop next to where my main PC is and I am getting good speeds with it’s on-board wireless.

Well, Bob messaged me again about an hour ago and said he his coming out today if the admin/paper work goes well so I will let him tell the rest of the going on’s.

Thanks Lee & Guys, appreciated. Now they have almost picked the problem, temps have zoomed to 39C. Shortly after that, I spoke to my Doc about Barrett’s esophagus making food stuck in my gullet and producing small blood clots. I am to have a camera for this, which I should have every 2 years: last was 4 years ago. The mind has ceased to boggle…

I had the job lot “although you can never have everything” where snap-on, Mac and Draper are concerned. I had the stack-able, rolling tool chests, cupboards and so on mainly from snap-on although one may of been Mac. Filled with all the airtools, small screwdrivers, big screwdrivers, stumpy spanners “My favourite” and another favourite were my ring ratchet spanners. There were spanners in there that were more like weapons. The there was the sockets of all sorts of varying sizes and use, impact, standard, short and long, 1/2 and 3/4 and 1/4 plus all the extensions and knuckle joints. I wont even start on pliers, grips, moles and so on. Then there was specialist tools for doing particular jobs on particular cars. Some electrical gear for small electrical work. Oh, and I cant forget my collection of tapping sticks:) I doubt one socket was less than than £8 minimum.
Then I let my brother borrow them all, never to be seen again.! I dont need them tools now but I would like to build a collection up again. I’ll never go the route of paying the snapon or mac guy weekly again for the privilege though.

I ended up with a couple of these to get going. I am very impressed for the money. Easy setup in minutes, nice and bright colours although I will never have them above 30 %. I like soft lighting on evening, just enough to find the TV remote and beer bottle opener 🙂 .
Still, there is that little voice in the back of my head telling me the chinese or trump have placed a little hidden mic in there! None the less, work well with alexa, I created a group and attached them. The plan is to have these all around the house and I have a fetish for lamps. Toss in the ceiling light and that is a lot of bulbs, 4 in bedroom alone. So if you group them then you can use shorter names for them in the same room when using an echo in that room. “Believe me, it makes sense to me ” 🙂

I’ll add to this. I don’t buy food items from 3rd parties on amazon, just amazon them self. Prime now usually. I have had to send things back many times but each and every time they have refunded me and told me to keep the items. This could be beer, cat treats and many other items they deliver wrong or no longer require.

Thanks for the info. I do not plan on doing anything special. Just to be able to turn light off from bed. I get very frustrated with me self as I forget silly things like turning lights off before I get into bed. No word of lie I have gone weeks without for example tin foil or sugar and other silly stuff because even though I set of to shop to get these items by the time I get there it’s gone out of my head and ive got something else. I tend to forget the little things and it frustrates the hell out of me.

This is what get’s me. A registered user since 2000, 600 + good feedback as buyer and so he must know how eBay works. Had he done as I requested sent the laptop back for a full refund all would of been well as long as it had come back with the charger! I can not see anything in his history to suggest he has done this before however like this case all feedback and responses etc… as been pulled so maybe he has pulled the trick before, very strange indeed. Mind, I did have the bit between my teeth and went on an all out assault from every angle, phone, twitter, fb email, forms and so on 🙂
But all said and done, they came through this time. Its only taken 12 years to get a result from ebay.
