Just bought a Cubot Dinasaur around £80 from eBay and very very pleased with it It is 4G Dual sim, sim free unlocked and a 5.5 inch screen.
Worked fine for me this morning.
To be bluntly honest the cost at over £600 pa is extortionate, I host forums with Evohosting and it does not cost even 20% of that (£87 pa including the domain name) and they are reliable with excellent UK support)
£3.50 per month/per member is out of the question. Other forums with many more members and much more activity are free so I can’t see many here going along with that.
I appreciate deeply the efforts made by RSB to rescue the MM forum but it has to be realistic. Subscription might work for a short while but ultimately it will fail due to the small number of contributors and the fact that there is no platform for publicising the existence of this forum in order to attract more paying members.
Deeply sorry to be so pessimistic but simply put, the cost is too great for the benefit when there are free alternatives.
Just like the Queen, 2 birthdays?
It looks to me as it is a mime encoded file attachment which has not been decoded on receipt. May be totally wrong but worth looking at.
If so then a mime decoder should sort it out. Search Google for a free one.
I feel it is relevant considering the title of this thread:-
“Indian Outsourcing Strikes Again”.
together with several comments which refer to India.
I accept that wherever there is critical data such as this it should have a recovery plan based on several unconnected locations. I also find it strange that BA have two in the same location and both went down but I guess it would depend on what specific function each was providing and whether their data was interlinked. Again, if so, then to have one centre which is absolutely critical to the world wide operation of BA is bordering on criminal negligence.
Seems it was jumping to conclusions to assume the BA problem was in India. The BA Chief Exec has just said it was a power surge in UK close to Heathrow that caused the problem.
Sorry Jason but yes they can. Adolf Hitler was voted into power by a majority so a majority is no guarantee of being right.

Received this a short while ago from eBay

OK, so I checked my Paypal account this morning and the payment had still not been claimed. I have cancelled it and received the refund from Paypal. I would have thought that a scammer would have acted to get the cash by now so I am putting it down to a mistake but I may be mistaken myself. Time will tell.
Yes but in this case the seller has not drawn the money from Paypal and my option to cancel the payment has been available since I placed the order thru Paypal.
Yes all the products have been deleted. I still have the link to my order though. The payment has not been drawn from my Paypal account so my previous guess is probably the best answer, Not a scam, just a mistake. Still keeping fingers crossed though.
My betting is that there has been a mistake in his price. Similar phones on at £99.99 against this at £9.99.
The paypal payment has not yet gone through and it says the seller has not drawn the money yet. Interesting.
Yes I am serious. I ordered it and have received an order confirmation for delivery next Friday. ? I’ll let you know if it arrives or if it mysteriously gets lost in the post. As I said £10 is not a great sum to lose and the seller has been on eBay for some years and has 100% feedback (Maybe spoofed).
PS, I couldn’t find a way to edit the previous post. In fact I can’t find where to create a new thread
I’m looking for a new phone so I have put it to the test. When all is said and done it is not much to risk. I will report back even if I am not too hopeful of a positive result.
If you are looking for a data sim just be careful as the data expires at the end of a specified period. Also much cheaper on eBay than direct from the phone company.
Not sure if a normal phone sim will work so please let us know the result if you try it.
The 7110 was GSM only (2G) so it won’t work on “Three” as that network is 3G and 4G only.
Phone BT Support and let them sort it out would be my suggestion
Thanks EdP for this. I have recently found a number of my old DOS games in the loft so I might give this a try and get nostalgic. ?
