I have tried around 10 times to delete “Notify by email”. I am just ignored. Anybody any idea?

Also still have the problem that every page loads twice, now becoming quite annoying. This happens on 3 computers, on landline and mobile data.

EDIT: Not to mention all this “configuring Windows update” lark. What the hell is it doing?

On Shutdown the first process is to unpack the downloaded update file and transfer it to a temporary location and the Windows update folder. It also only downloads and updates any updates not previously done. It needs to shutdown because some of the files it needs to update are being used by Windows . This normally takes you to the 30% message whereupon it reboots. At this point and before Windows is loaded the actual update takes place and any files are replaced or added or deleted.

At the 100% message the computer again reboots to, this time, load the newly updated Windows program.

A simple explanation but hope it helps.

OK I guess I put this in the wrong place. It was nothing to do with MM. I am referring to Forumite.

It is still loading each page twice with a few seconds gap. Anyone else???

Check that the plug to the motherboard is seated properly.

Go into device manager and look in the USB section at the very end and look for any little yellow triangles. If so delete that usb entry, reboot and allow the drivers to install themselves again automatically during the boot process.

To return to the original question, just a bit of background:-

A Scart lead (if fully wired) is designed to switch the TV on automatically.

                          Wiki says:-

SCART allows a connected device to bring it in and out of standby mode or to switch it to the AV channel. A VCR or other playback device will optimally power on when a cassette is inserted, power on the TV (or switch it to video mode) and then start playing immediately if the cassette’s write protection tab is absent. When turned off, the VCR will ask the TV to power off, which it will do if it had been powered on by the VCR’s request and if it remained in video mode. Only some TVs will do this—most only implement automatic switching to and from the SCART input.

The same signal can be used by a satellite receiver or set-top box to signal a VCR that it is supposed to start and stop recording (“pin 8 recording”). This configuration usually requires that the VCR be farther from the TV than the source, so the signal usually travels “down”.

Not sure about HDMI but it does do this if set up and the TV circuitry is designed to detect a Signal on HDMI input.

                              Hi Boris

Just updated 6 machines in about 30 mins without any problem whatsoever. I believe this update is issued to correct the problems experienced by a small number of people with the previous feature update.

                                My best wishes also.

It is a horrendous experience but I can assure you it is worth it in the end.

This is quite topical for me. I have a 2011 Citroen C4 Grand Picasso with just 50K on the clock. Returning home from Leicester to North Yorkshire a month ago I reached just south of Doncaster when the car shuddered and lost power. I now know it went into limp mode with a message on the display saying possible damage to the DPF. I limped home at about 20-25mph. The next day It started fine and I took it to the local garage who put it on the diagnostic computer. The reading said injector 3 was causing the problem so had that replaced and all seemed fine for a few days then the “Service Light” came on. The car had received a major service at 48.5K so it was not that. Reading up on it revealed it could be a problem with the DPF so back to the garage. They put a camera up the pipe and said the DPF looked a bit sooty and they blew it out. All seemed well for another couple of day when the light kept coming on and resetting.  The garage estimated the cost of a genuine Citroen DPF at £1000+ which I could not really justify on a car of that age so on to eBay. Found a few listed for my model starting at just over £100. The listing did say to phone them before ordering with the registration and chassis data which I did. The person who answered was excellent and gave me a search term for a lookup in their eBay shop revealing several options at various prices from which I did finally settling on one at £228 as I did not want to risk the cheapest. I ordered it late Friday afternoon and it was delivered first thing Monday morning. Superb service. The garage fitted it for me and delivered the car back late yesterday afternoon so I am hoping that will be the end of the problem. The car does seem to be more responsive which could be a good sign.

                                      They are not compatible.

The hair trimmer output is 3 Volts and the Phone charger is 5 Volts.

Not possible to say without knowing the spec of the chargers concerned, including voltage, output capacity and connection details.

                                          Let’s be controversial.

Why are we going to a tournament held in a country that commits attempted (and actual) murder on our own streets????

PS it probably will not allow the drive to be smaller than 120141 is because there is a system unmoveable file at this point. Possibly a defrag might help .
