I know there are a few on here who use Now TV via their Passes, and I’ve just got a very cheap deal – £1.99pm for 2 months – when I just went to cancel my current pass.

For me £9.99pm for a Movies Pass falls into the “OK, it’s cheaper than Sky, but could be better” category. I tend to get my passes in 3 or 4 month batches off Ebay. The last one I got when I bought one of their new Smart boxes in February this year. The 4 month pass was about to expire, so I went through the cancellation process and at the end I filled in their “Why are you going” questionnaire. I said “Other “reason to one and “Other” reason to the second. In their “Reason” box I just said I could get better value passes elsewhere. Clicked the Continue button and they offered me the £1.99pm for 2 months deal. That’s better than I can get an Ebay pass for, so I took it and that’s me back on ’til 14th August. 🙂

So – if your Pass is running out anytime soon, give this a try. Good luck.

That’s a steal. I’m still full fat sky, but having had a play with the youview box in my kitchen (that supports now TV) I’m seriously considering binning it…..biggest challenge will be convincing others who love the epg on sky, but sky q rolling out is of no interest to me and when that becomes standard will probably be when I say tata.

Now TV is excellent from my experience in terms of quality……especially at £2 !

I’ve never bothered with the movies pack. We never watched them when we had sky. Last Xmas, it her via here, or it was an Xmas offer, we ended up with movies for the month. again we didn’t watch one.

So I am more than happy with there £6/7.99 per month for the entertainment packaged, which gives you the main changes for sky’s big shows.

And I pay up when Liverpool is on, if I’m not there. Mostly I get free sports passes, but do pay too from time to time.

I use to like it when try Liverpool game consider with the f1, but I’ve lost interest in f1, not even bothered with the last two races. I’m a huge F1 fan, but somehow, this year it’s been terrible.

Also thanks to our good formite friend @Doctoryorkie, if your an NPower customer you can claim a free week sports pass from the link below

I’m on Sky Box Sets, but balked at what they wanted for Sky Movies. It is so much better presented on Sky, but if you can ignore the pauses, spinning balls, etc NowTV is acceptable.

Like you I find the “seamless” element of SkyQ, ie move around the house from room to room and pick up where you left off, almost totally irrelevant. Plus you’re only on 2 lan ports on the Q Box instead of 4 on the router.

That’s a good point john, your Internet needs to be up to the tasks. It’s better than the the like of channel 4 or 5, but not upto the level of Netflix of YouTube, that will stream on the most ropiest of connections.

Also now tv is good because you van pick and choose. Ultimately it’s more expensive than sky if you want it all.

And yes it’s presentation, in the search department could do with The little work. But if you don’t need full sky, now tv is a great option.

Nice, the footy season is almost here, and the f1 season is finally getting good. Been a dire season the majority so far.
