See these 2 images. One from blur park life and 2 opportunist me with my camera. My camera is supposed to have the fastest auto tracking focus in the world and in my shot there is plenty going on. I guess its not bad but when you look at the parklife dog picture which was probs a analogue camera from a long time ago, then?.

My only mitigation is my camera was not set to pet and was shot @ what they call the golden hour, fading light, hence the dogs rose hue and my picture is more dynamic.

How much time the Blur photographer spend setting up his kit and how many photos did he shoot?

I’m guessing it’s plenty on booth counts.

And here’s the story behind the album cover https://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk/latest/photo-news/150319-150319

It was taken by a professional sports photographer, long lens, motor drive etc. The depth of field is very shallow, fast shutter speed + long lens = large aperture, but this would have been carefully set up, he’d have known exactly where the dogs had to be. But all that does is increase your chances and of course takes great skill. No control over the dogs expression which is what makes this photo even greater.

                Good find Dave.

I see the article is knda recent and when you consider how old the photo is then obvs its often discussed.

I don’t have the album, but I never forgot the picture when I saw the album (vinyl) in Smith many years ago whilst music shopping.
