I had a tooth out (lost my bridge) I now have 2 teeth in the top.

While the dentist was pulling my tooth out, he slipped and stabbed my in the gum. Caausing a hole and constant bleeding. I was all froze up but I felt the slip, the dentist said nothing. All night I was in pain and it wouldn’t stop bleeding ( I am on blood thinners) it wouldn’t clot.

I Telephoned 111 at 4am today, they said go back to the dentist. I phoned the dentist and got in straight away. The dentist (not the one whom stabbed me in the gum) said it not worh a stitch (it had slowed to a trickle, as I had used 2o pieces of cut melolin) and sent me away.

As I had been up all night I fell asleep on the settee, when I woke my mouth/face and cushion was full of blood again.

I telephoned the dentist and got in straight away, this time he stitched it up, so far it seems to have done the trick.

I now keep thinking was this an accident or neglect, surely the dentist is a proffesional?

      Cheers
      John

Perhaps get some guidance from your local Citizen’s Advice centre. However it does seem to be policy to steer people away from taking legal action.

          Cheers Roger

I think my now concern is the stich didn’t do the trick and it’s still bleeding.

          Cheers
